Hello everyone here I am again asking for enlightenment.
I recently purchased a 200 with manual transmission from Emirates.
At 120 km/h the warning light comes on indicating that you are exceeding that speed and an annoying sound goes in!!!.well I can't get rid of it even with teachstream will be that I am not capable :-(
Is it possible that it can't be removed?

Other question, I would like to be able to engage the reduced gears without the center lock engaging automatically.
Which cable should be acted on?
Thank you all.

Hi there, the 120kph thing is (as I know) some Gulf States thing and it is hard coded into the country settings of your ECU. Only option would be if you find a Toyota dealer willing to reprogramming the ECU with a different country setting.

Regarding center diff lock with 4Low. It is the same on my 2008 with manual gear. The setting is with the intention that if you are in a situation needing 4Low the center diff is also usefull since you’re on loose ground. Normal behavior so far and I think it is also checking for the CD if it is engaged. Same for the rear diff (if you got it on your 200). If you get with that one an error you cannot get into 4low.

Only option would be probably tricking the car into thinking the center diff is engaged. So you could wire in two switches. One that cuts off the power of the actuator and the other one then closes the position sensor of the center diff to make it think it is engaged.

Ciao, grazie!!
I THOUGHT THERE WAS SOME SETTING FOR THE 120 km/h CYCLINE

As for the center lock, it's a bit cumbersome...this request of mine is because sometimes when starting in other situations it's better with the reduced gears and I was hoping it was like on the 80 that you just disconnect a cable and put a specially made switch.

I find that the engine torque is too high and with the gearbox it is very annoying.

Just from you first sentence I guess you’re just a bit southern of me so probably Toyota shouldn’t have a problem to do this (since the Toyota dealers in the Gulf States are not that willing to remove that beeper as I heared) if(!) they are able to. There is not much skillset regarding 200‘s here in Europe but they are maybe able to.

With the combination of manual gear and Gulf States you’re 200 should probably have the same hp like mine with around 225hp (mine was made for the Gibraltar dealership that supplies nearly all NGO’s n other stuff) and lower torque than automatic diesel 200‘s due to the „bad diesel mapping“ (they reduced it especially for them so they not immediately f*** up the clutch when bashing dunes without thinking a second).

Honestly I never heared about a switch like that but never came into my mind to use 4low anywhere else then offroad or up my cottage where it is a more relaxed way to drive and I have lots of stops in the summer for gates (or stupid cattle thinking the road is the place to be….)

You have any problems with your clutch as you say it is too powerful?

/edit
got another idea that is maybe a bit stupid but so far maybe the easiest way… search for the little speaker (think it is somewhere in the dash) and tape it so it isn’t annoying anymore or directly wire a switch into it😅

ahahhhahhh... I have already installed good speakers to decrease the problem ahhahah...

Mine yes, it has about 220 hp but has been remapped I think to 280 hp but the torque is still very high!!!

The clutch was replaced with a reinforced one because it was not holding 280 hp.

I always try if not necessary not to engage the center block so as not to strain the transmission.

I will now install front and rear differential locks because it lacks!!! :-(

If you got the same special entertainment system as I upgrading is at least easy hehe.
But ok with a freshly overhauled clutch I guess it can be a bit very direct. No idea hownit feels new since I got mine with already 280k from a friend and driving it already 60kkm so everything is kinda „relaxed“.
Also the reason why I didn’t got some remapping because I think after close to 300kkm thats something that will definitely kill my engine.
