1.5" OME Lift Info

Hello,

I have an appointment with Slee this friday to get a 2.5" Med Lift Installed. I have an 06 with 210K and the AHC is starting to have issues. I really enjoyed that option but after towing my camper + a family of 5 its finally wore out. After thinking things over, I am now leaning towards a 1.5" Heavy Lift. I will not be adding steel bumpers anytime soon and most of my off roading is pretty minor. The reason for the Heavy lift is due to my camper.

I was hoping to see a few pics of a 1.5" Heavy lift from those of you who have this set up. Also, please post your tire size as well.

Do the Med lift and then put in some $80 Air Lift bags and use those when you tow. That way you get the best of both worlds.

I just put the OME 865 medium springs on the rear of my '07 before a two-week camping/fishing trip to the Rockies. Huge improvement, but with a truck full of camping gear and a drift boat trailer attached, it still squatted down too far. The ride was much better and I don't really think I'd want the heavies on there all the time without a rear bumper or extra weight back there. I ran out of time to get it all put together, but I agree that airbags and the medium springs would probably be the perfect set-up if you only want the 1.5" of lift.
