I’m curious if the newer LX470’s overhead console w/ambient lighting will be plug and play with the older models (I have an 02 without ambient lighting). Has anyone attempted this? If so, did you have to splice into any specific wiring, or did the existing plugs activate everything? Thanks in advance.

Odds are that you'll have to splice into some wires. The later lx470s with ambient lighting had additional modules and wiring to support ambient lighting features.
