'06 Tundra Levelling

Hey guys, cracked the head on my 60s engine (350) so my dad is gonna fix it and use it as a lease truck. So I got an 06 Tundra Double cab, 2wd (only 16k miles booyah!). Still seriously needs to get the nose up. Which one of the levelling kits would you guys recommend and I should be able to fit 265/70 R17s right (basically 32's)?

I wouldn't get a leveling kit, I'd put on Bilstein 5100 series adjustable shocks. the fourth notch is good for about 2 inches of lift. I did it, and I'm nice and level.

So i just need the shocks, don't have to replace the coils or anything?

Nope, that's what makes them so sweet. It really improves the ride quality for 1/5 the price of coilovers, and it doesn't ride harsh like spacers do.

I highly recommend them. I bought my entire set on ebay (the rears are not adjustable, but you can buy just the fronts.

For a nice lifted look all the way around, a lot of guys buy the 5100's, max them out at 2.5" lift, and then put a 1" AAL in the rear to level it out. It looks good, but since I'm 2WD, just the 5100 in the front with about 2" lift is good for me.

Its not a TRD, does that make a difference? Its just a limited with the towing package (big alternator and battery).

I have been looking at tundra solutions a bit, trying to get an idea of what I want to do with her.

Could you post up a pic of your truck? and what size tires are you running? I think my truck has 265/60R17 Dunlops on it, hopefully those wont have to stay on very long, they are tiny.

Sure, I'll try and get one tomorrow. I just bought mine in December, and my tires look small too. I think they are 265/75/R17, but not sure. PO put them on.

I asked if you have TRD, as the main thing in the TuRD package is Bilstein shocks. So if you just wanted to spring for the front shocks, you could, since the rear are bilstein anyways.

Right now on my truck, I only have 5100s on the front (I took them off my totalled 2000) and haven't bought new ones for the rear yet. I can definitely tell, as the back end is "loose."

So knowing that, my recommendation to you, if you go the 5100 route, is get 5100s all the way around and then try and sell your OEM shocks on TS or ebay to make a few bucks back since they only have 16k miles.
