Sorry let me clarify, the diameter of the third I think its bigger than an 8in. as in previous models.maybe 8.4in?
If it's a Taco it's the 8.4..........great info here......

The 2005-2008 Tacoma 4wd open and e-locked 3rds are 8". The TRD Sport model with the mechanical LSD is an 8.4" diff.
