05 Nav install in 99 mostly done..but where is VSS?

Got the 05 Camry Navigation mostly working....sitting still that is, Shows my location on the map, and stereo and amp hassles are worked out (a pain because the color codes to tie into the stock 99 Non JBL amp were wrong) Actually sounds much better than the old toyota head unit, even with the same amp and speakers.

Problem is I have conflicting info on the VSS wire location coming out of the ecm, does anyone have reliable info as to where the correct wire and connector is?

I was told pin 15 of 28 pin connector, violet wire, but there are 2 27 pin connectors, no 28 that I can see...

Other than that, this is a really cool unit, and supports xm and the backup camera. aftermaket would have been easier, but I liked the fact that it isToyota oem stuff.

When I get beyond this, I can post the details on retaining the stock 99 amp and etc....

Do you know if stock ’01 navigation can be upgraded with b-up camera?
Is camera and nav a package or separate deal?

Do you have the 5 PIN grey connector on your NAV? Speed/Reverse are the #5 and #3 .

Connect #5 to the reverse and #3 to the speed sensor wire (I assume this end of the wiring is the part that confuses you)

The OEM speed sensor is purple/red stripe. Reverse is red/yellow striped wire. This is on a 03+ 4Runner so I dont know if it is the same but just throwing it out there for you.
Get a wiring diagram for the speed and reverse - easy and tap it, you are good to go.

Reverse camera is a 4PIN next near the middle of the NAV. If you get the Eclipse BEC105/106, it is a direct plug n play

Thanks but no problems on the Nav unit itself with the Vss connector, I have all of that its the ECM pinout that I need...
