I have a Stihl 032 that I am having issues with. I was given the saw about a week ago by a friend that claims there is a new oil pump in the machine. Will it effect the oilers performance if the gasket isnt sealing between the oiler and the casing? When I also pulled the clutch off earlier I found the "driven" gear near floating. I pressed it back on the pump drive but am not sure if this will work or if I am in for a new gear. And after all of this the dang oiler is still not working. All I get out of it is some black oil drippings that are basically being blown by the exhaust.. HELP!

The driven gear does turn but I have not looked in the tank yet. I will do that this afternoon and let you know what I see.
