I have an 02 100 with factory nav. In the presets, some of the radio stations will drop for a second and than come back. When this happens, the st goes out as well. Anyone have any ideas since the Baierl Toyota did a bait and switch on our warranty when we specifically asked if the nav/radio was covered...since that was our sole reason of buying the warranty(cause I know the 100 will go forever).

If it's the same thing I have experienced, there's some sort auto frequency tuning setting that will try to lock in on local (or maybe it's distant) stations. When set, it will cause audio dropouts at regular intervals (every 5 seconds or so for me) on stations that are not coming in strong enough.

Try going into the audio menu and looking for a box that is selected and has "AF" on it. You will need to be in radio mode, not CD, to see this option. Try unselecting it and see if that clears up your problem. I'll post more details when I get home and can actually look at the screen.

Mine does this. On both FM bands it does it on the the last preset (107.5 and 103.7). If I turn the tune knob up or down one click and back to it the problem goes away.

It's a PITA but not a big enough issue that I have brought it up when I've had it in for service (and I'm out of warranty).

I'd be interested if there was a fix for this though.
