hello all,
I've been slowly going through my 80 that I got from a guy that did a 1-hdt swap with an Australian 5-speed manual tranny.
He did a super nice job, but didn't figure out the cruise control and ABS light before I got it.
With the help of MUD guys I got the cruise control...

After extensive squirrel damage to under hood harness and subsequent removal and re installation of the OEM spec re manufactured harness the truck runs, ABS system (damaged by shorted wires) works as intended, front AC blows cold and runs correctly, the only issues presenting are rear...
Ive heard it mentioned and I do not dig my ABS,And want to know if it is possible to remove the ABS system without Effing up the brakes, this truck needs brakes, not ABS. is it possible and will it effect my yearly inspection, etc.
I broke one of my wheel speed sensors when I was tearing the axle down. I am planning on getting a new one from a wrecking yard. Can anyone tell me about compatibility? Does it matter if it is from the left or right, front or back? Are all the years that had ABS compatible?
Thanks!
My ABS went on my Lexus LX 470 a few years back and I bought a rebuilt unit and still have the old one that was not working. I don't know what malfunctioned on it and it was easier for my mechanic to rip and replace with a new one. Instead of spending $800+ on a used or rebuilt unit, you can...

Hey everyone, I just changed the rear brake pads on my 97 FZJ80 (they were really worn) and after replacing, the ABS light stays on. I disconnected the battery for about 3 minutes...no dice. I did have to compress the caliper and that caused fluid to leak out of the reservoir but I drained...

So my 2000 LC often makes a noise when I first crank up, sounds like the pump under the dash struggling to pressurize. I've been told that is for the ABS but my brakes work fine. Sounds like an expensive fix so my question is what are my options? Any help is appreciated!
All from my personal stash, so you know its the good stuff!

Looking for best way to approach/troubleshoot where the issue is..right front or right rear sensor showing open. Not sure if it's the sensor, connections, wiring harness to sensor. First step thought to get ohm meter, put to sensor to see if/where there is drop in power. was careful with sensors...
I have read many threads about deleting the ABS and am preparing myself to do it. HOWEVER, I am not really wanting to delete the LSPV. Every thread ive read removes both.
Can the ABS be removed without deleting the LSPV?
I'm new to my 80 and need to replace the rear pads and rotors.
Do I need to disable the ABS system before starting work on the brakes?
(some vehicles requires this, some don't)
I tried to find this info via the forum search, but didn't find it. I also don't have time to get a FSM in my hands...

Here's the scenario.
Stopping from about 20mph, My brake pedal initially has what feels like higher resistance than normal, but flutters a bit and doesn't seem to really want to stop the rig, then it goes away with more foot pressure and works as normal...
I replaced the front shocks and fuel filter on my '03 LC today. When I started the car after the repairs my ABS light was illuminated. My OBD reader says I have an ABS code for a front right speed sensor fault.
I figure one of two things happened:
The PB blaster I sprayed to loosen the shock...
