I have a red 76 need to paint the bezel thinking either original cream white or black. Does anyone know the color code for the white which should I do?

I wanted to go the route of a 'chrome' / metal look on my bezel originally to match the other chrome parts (kick vents, baja lights, hood latches/hinges, top vent, etc) - but out of a rattle can it proved too difficult.... so black worked well with all the other black parts.

Just get a bunch of bezels, paint them different colors and change them with your mood. So far I have a wrinkle finish black one and pewter silver one. I am sticking back for a stamped bezel for the white phase I may go through. I'' probably get a fiberglass one sooner or later. I never gave much thought to matching the instrument cluster though. On that note does anyone know if Toyota made black a color for the cluster suround, glove box and ash tray? Mine were black whan I bought my Cruiser, and looked factory. Judging by the other previous owner work, I don't think any of them would have put the $$$ into a pro paint job on trim pieces.

Light Grey bib that my FJ45 came to me with.
damn, that's a nice cruiser. i like the colours, i don't think the silver/grey is that bad at all.

Do whatever you like. Both look good on different rigs and none are bad. ...it's all good.
