When I bought my 1981 BJ42 3 or 4 years ago it had a chrome bezel and roll bar. Until now I thought the PO had chromed them, is it possible that was factory? We tried to remove the chrome by sandblasting but it didn't come off good enough to except paint. Ended up buying another roll bar that was already grey. The silver bezel in my opinion didn't look good.

The Factory Oem chrome bezels are still available new, IIRC.

Chrome Bezels were a factory option. I prefer black hammer powdercoat.
