Well we did a final fit of the new bumper today. I am very pleased. The sliders should also be on by the end of the weekend.

A big shout out to Ryan at Flatland Fabricating!!

We still need to install the winch plate for the PTO. The bottom of the bumper measures 29". Legal hieght here is 29 3/4 so it's about perfect...

Dude, that's a cool bumper. More pics after its been painted.

Very nice. Bet that will be used as a baseline for others...Going to mount any antenna's or lights on it?

wow. that thing is knarly. looks like a facemask.

NHL?

I'm not into all the tubing. The work above the base is ok.... but for the bottom I like a solid bumper (ARB bullbar style).

Nice bumper! :D

Post some pics when you get the winch installed.

Thanks everyone!!

With the winch plate on I may deside to fill in the outer wings. I am for sure mounting a set of lights and an antenna mount. plus some shackle points that will be bolted back to the frame.

it is going to get the old spray bomb for the river shiver and then any adjustments will be made and all my protection gear will come off for blast, zinc and powder coating...

I think it looks cool, it does kinda look like a face mask though. I think I would enclose or make solid the bottom some how. Man I wish I had the skills that many of you have with a welder! Greta job, Are you powdercoating it black? How much did imaterials cost ya and any idea on the cost of the powdercoat job?

AWESOME!

Well we did the final fitment. I am not happy with the fender sliders so we are going to redo those after the river shiver. Overall I am very pleased. Now to blast and paint the rear bumper, sliders and front bumper....

I am in around $800 for material alone. I would expect around $500 for blast, zinc powder and black powder topcoat. Good thing I sell paint for a living. :D

Cruiser is sweet lookin!

Ya, we brought the fender sliders in to try and skinny the old boy up and well, it looks good at certain angles but comprimises protection and looks odd at times. It's hard to describe.

The tires are 325/85R16 michelin XMLs (they measure right around 38") on 16x7" rims with 3.25" BS and spacers in the rear and an IFS hub for width up front. I have ran them at 7psi with great success.

I am running a SOA on new OEM springs and a 2" body lift. I flipped my front springs and redrilled for a little better clearance. I am going to trim the bottom front inner fender as I rub slightly. I also rub slightly on the spring backs with the steering stops turned alll the way in.

lookin sick dude...I bet ya any money that the bumper you made is about twice as strong as an ARB...

Sliders are lookin sick as well...the bent out part of the slider near the back doors will bump your truck and tires around trees nicly....very good design brotha...

keep us posted....its looking sweet.

Thanks Al,

I am watching your coil swap with great interest...I keep telling myself I am done with this truck and I need to get to work on my buggy. I think your idea of a DD with a four link is the tits.

bt

a shot of the slider. You can kinda see how we angled the fender to meet with the rocker. We are going to move it ahead and kick it out to match the back.

No worries dude...Ill be keeping you guys posted....Id be all over it now.. But there is no way i am missing GSMTR...so with any luck youll be seeing the big velveeta turn brown and go 4-link this summer...

as soon as ya get some trail pics of you testing out your new crap post em up...i love your truck dude....

The wheels measure 13" so the 7" rim is a norrow rim but hold the thick sidewall of the michelins really well.

I have 1.5" bolt on spacers in the rear to match the front width of the IFS hubs

This is one of the most bitchin' 60's I've ever seen. Love the bumper, way better than the chrome monstrosity that these trucks come with. I also like it better than the ARB. Probably lighter too. Mind if I copy the design when I finally come home with my truck? Paul
