Though I could only do Saturday morning, it was great! My biggest regret was missing the chili, which I told my wife about. I was also pleased that I didn't break at all.(for a change) trip back was great, wind at my back, got to the next activity in time. So much to do, so little time.

Wow, what a great time!

This was the best wheeling experience I've had so far, and I got Luke and Amanda hooked on it. Thanks again to Erik and Heather who took me out on the bunny slopes and had me try things I didn't think I could do. I think I'm ready for some sliders, a lift, some more aggressive tires, and maybe a snorkel if I get dragged through a mud hole like that again :D .

It was great meeting everyone there and the food was fantastic. Luke and Amanda had a blast too, and were amazed at some of the things we were doing. I don't think Luke will be buying a Cruiser any time soon but the seed has been planted. Their little Bronco II surprised me on what it was able to do.

Thanks to everyone who made the event as excellent as it was. I'm definitely looking forward to it next year.

I put some pictures up for people to look at here - http://www.psabrowse.com/downloads/folder/DSR/

Here's a sample.

It doesnt look bad in the pics but that bank is steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. Then, on top of that, it was pure mud under those leaves.

It was full throttle just to get to the point where I was at. Also, I was sawing the front tires back and forth to try to get a tire to even touch a rock and when I tried to go left, my whole truck slid down the hill in the mud.

A couple of guys in a Pinzgauer did an endo and wound up resting against a tree while trying to go down that a few years ago. Took 3 winches to get it down.

Good times! We had a great time meeting everyone and putzing around the park. I wish we brought our camera there were several good photo ops throughout the day.

I've come to realize that I really need larger/meatier tires, 33's just don't cut out here.

I remember that.... That is a nasty hill!!!

Pretty close. The rig was nearly vertical with the nose on the ground and the rear wheels in the tree.

I have a picture somewhere, but I can't locate it right now.

My family and I had a great time. It was nice meeting everyone again (or the first time for some). Weather was great, trails were great, food was great, and campfire conversations topped the cake.

My dad is hooked now, despite having to wheel in a jeep. :D He decided not to sell his yj and he bought a lift kit for it yesterday. I tried to get him in a 40 but I'll settle for just having him in the same hobby...

I didn't bring a camera but my folks did, here's the only one they sent me without a jeep in it: Chris climbing the ledges on friday. I should have bunch of bob from the same day coming sometime.
