So, i was trying to figure out how i could run my wilson on my rack and not have crappy coax running through a gromet in my roof with gawbs of silicone sealant. So i went ahead and tried this.

All i did was install a roof mount wilson and run a jumper cable out to the antenna.

The Wilson 1000 on a INTI with a "L" bracket supplied by Wilson.

The SWR meter reading was hella bad.. giving that i haven't properly grounded the rack yet and there are too many connections in the coax to get to radio. I got out about 3 miles in the city when testing the radio after tuning the whip. This is all i need for now. If i work on the grounding the SWR meter reading should drop considerably.

The good thing about this setup is that, if i ever pull the rack off, i can just screw the wilson right in to the roof.

Nice job but that INTI looks like it needs a little TLC.
