Anyone have any expirience with bucket seats that are comfortable and not too dificult to install in an FJ40? I heard hunsacker was ok what do you think?

I got these to put in my 60 from Lance at Ironpig. Easy install, very comfy. If you are XXXL, it might be a little tight due to the side bolsters. I thought they sat too low, so I added some spacers. Only took about ten minutes per seat to pull the old seats, attach brackets and install the new ones. http://www.ironpigoffroad.com/interior.htm
Lots of folks have and are using the Corbeau Baja SS. I have them in 2 vehicles and love them.

I put Bestop J**p replacement seats in my 40. They're a big improvement over stock. I used sliders from a pre-1994 Suburban. Just had to do a little hacksawing, drilling, and bending in a vice, and then painted them black with Rustoleum Industrial enamel. I got a guy to weld some cross members for $20

I've only had them a few months, and so far they are as good as new. They seem to be well made. I got the tan ones, which have a matte finish thats a little grippier and probably attracts more dirt than the shinier ones on the website. No complaints, though they're easy to clean.

i forgot to ask about lumbar support. i'm after something that doesn't sink in the like the stock seats. do these adjust?

No adjustable lumbar. It's fairly neutral on the lumbar, but definitely doesn't sink in like the stock seats.

I had Lance at Iron Pig Off Road install a set of his Procar seats and brackets into my 84 FJ60. My son and I drove 3100 miles in 3 1/2 days from Virginia to British Columbia. These are awsome seats and after driving 850 on day two I got out of the truck and felt great. Lance sells these cheaper than you can buy them from Procar and he has brackets that make it a direct bolt in.

I bought a pair of buckets out of a 2002 Chevy Silverado. They are charcoal grey and have integral shoulder harnesses. They are manual adjustment/lumbar and are very comfortable feeling. I just have to weld up a new frame for them to sit on. They are going in my piggie.
