One big disadvantage to the mailing list - SPAM - and VIRUS's. We've had issues with both on the mailing list.
I think this is a more likely place for people to find GCC though. If you go to TLCA.org, look at the chapter listings, it lists okoffroad.com as the web site. Which if you just click the link, there is nothing showing anything to do with GCC. greencountrycruisers.com should just be taken down. The schedule of events has the event schedule for 2007. If you look at TLCA Wiki , you link to

The only way you'll ever get people to start using the forum at all though is it shut down the mailing list. I can't say I believe that to be a bad thing. I always fill a little bad about just sending out rambling stuff via email, or a bunch of photos, but posting them here would be easy.
