afterall, I'm gonna own this rig one day...

Hahaha...so optimistic! Haha

I'm kicking myself for not buying it. I was really hoping my dad would get it. I should have bought it and just kept it till he was able to convince mom it was a good idea.

Sorry I had to leap so quickly...I really couldn't let this thing slip away...the 4spd/split transfer case was the switch that flipped in my head...-BUY NOW-

Its a solid rig and I expect to get some rocks very soon...once I get more comfortable with the 4spd and address some more armor for the ass-end...I have a tendency to take crap lines and drop my a$$ end out...

"And if I hit the switch, I can make the assssssss drop."

No seriously. You have a wagon. There is a reason I cut wagons up. That ass end will always be in the way,

Hit some trails last night and have to figure out what's impacting the 4wd shift linkage causing it to bump out of 4wd when I start to flex...i held it in and could feel something impacting or wanting to pop it out, ita close to the Drive shaft but i dont know how it would move 1/8 inch to cause impact...need to flex it on a ramp and see, unless I'm just binding up some how...let the fun begin :)

Eric,

I plan to buy one to turn into a truck...probably not this one but one soon enough...once I've bought a clean 40 or 45 to mall crawl in.

Damn, I thought I had fixed that. It is a common problem with the split case, I upgraded to the marlin crawler springs and detent balls and thought that was fixed. The 2wd-4wd linkage is the one facing forward that pulls out for 4wd and pushes in for 2wd. The shaft has notches grooved into it and the spring and ball hold it in place. There is supposedly a mod where you can stack washers behind the spring to increase the tension, but I thought that was just for worn out stock springs. I couldn't see anywhere that that linkage would hit the body. on the 60's a lot of people say worn motor mounts are the cause, but I still couldn't see how it would flex that much to physically knock it out.
