Just kicking around the idea of getting rid of my last cruiser it has spring over, saginaw power steering, rollbar,stock motor,4speed,front disc brakes,headers.I built this one for personal use couple years ago its in good shape, but is not a show cruiser I used it to go to the river fishing, hunting, pulling sleds,and a little hill climbing mostly just on country roads and the farm,the kids are gone and I just don't use it enough and don't want it to set in the shed and waste away.We have friends that go on atv trips and it is easier for me to get an atv than for them to get a cruiser or jeep asking around 4500 like I said just a feeler check the site on weekends so I am not ignoring you and will get wife to add pics has 33s I know but...

Looking for a FJ 40 in NY, live in upstate NY and would like one that I could use for a daily driver, thanks.
I have a 1967 right-hand drive Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser for sale. It has not been driven in a number of years. It is rusty because it has been sitting. Still has the old style hub caps for the rear tires. Seats are original, need to be recovered. Missing one jump seat. Does not have original ignition switch either.
It has a soft top and a snow plow. The plow is all there, however it is driven off a power steering pump. The plow set up I would describe as interesting. No hydro-turn. They used the vacuum transfer case levers to control it. The soft top is a little rough. Maybe a new zipper and windows and it would be nice again.
It was also converted to a Chevy 283 V8 using the stock transmission. They used a Mopar radiator. However...

Sorry to those that have tried to contact me about the my...
Factory drivetrain, running gear, axles, suspension. Recently tuned and smogged at Toyota Dealer. Runs great and starts everytime. My daily driver that just needs a little TLC. Bought it as a project truck but don't have the time. 115K and front axle was just completely rebuilt. Has a small drip from the rear main seal which is within normal limits considering age and mileage. Has a few rust spots over the wheels but the tub is otherwise in great shape. Soft top only as shown. Will consider offers as well, cash only please. I drove this from Oregon to my home in Vegas, so any potiential buyer would probably have no trouble to fly out and drive it anywhere in the nation.

I have a 1978 FJ40 that needs to be sold. Too many other cruisers and not enough room for them all.

1978 FJ40, mostly stock
Rebuilt motor from previous owner, runs great, good compression numbers
Desmogged
Normal FJ40 rust. Rear wheel wheels rotted, rear main on floor rusted, rear corners rusted. Doors are in good shape, top is in good shape. Hood and windhield frame are in good shape as well.
Has an auxiliary gas tank in it as well as the original. Both are working according to previous owner.
Needs the above mentioned body work and come carb work. Runs smooth with no hesitations, but has to have choke pulled for a long time. I have the running boards, fender turn signals and various other parts that...

Hey guys just wanted to post this up here as well, but I have been offered the opportunity to buy a "newer" 40 from a friend in Colorado. With that being said, I have to now make room in my garage. Currently what I have is a 73fj40 with a 2f motor from an 86 fj60. As many of you know I was in the process of tearing this 40 down to the ground so it is in pieces and by what I mean by pieces, all of the interior has been removed except the fuel tank and the steering column. All the wiring has been removed(it needs to be completely rewired). Also the front aprons and bib has been removed as well. I was going to take the tub off and replace it with a better tub but like I said, I have been given the opportunity to buy a 78...
