Selling my '74 Landcruiser to start a new project and due to the fact that I don't drive it as much as I should. Owned the truck for 10 years.
The interior is basic. Herculined tub, original dash pad (not perfect). The one bad thing is that gauges (oil pressure, fuel, water temp) do not work. Installed aftermarket ones to replace them and meant to track down the problem but have not made it that far. Odometer and voltage work just fine though. Everything is low miles on all the work that has been done. Have not been able to actually wheel it too much. Always been garaged so top is in original condition.

This Cruiser is mostly stock with the exception of a tube front bumper with Ramsey 9000 winch.
It needs some work but it's a solid platform for a "return to stock" or "Rock Buggy" Build It runs well , the brakes and steering work as they should. I drove it daily but am now moving on. It needs a new top and some TLC.

Can't believe that I'm even contemplating this, but some recent developments are forcing me to streamline my life.
For sale is my 1976 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser.When I bought it I was specifically looking for one that had minimal rust and was to original specification, and that's what I found.The truck shows 82k miles and this is believed to be correct. The paint is likely all original -- when other than the 1970s would they have painted those stripes! The exterior paint is faded and there are some small dents here and there. The largest is on the right ambulance door (I tried to get this in the pictures) and there is a small dent where the spare tire carrier stops meet the left side ambulance door.

1970 Toyota Land Cruiser - Originally a California vehicle, I purchased it about 10 years ago and haven't driven it that much. I recently had the original F engine removed and replaced with a rebuilt 2F. Also put a brand new Weber 32/36 Carb Kit (pictures show original setup but it has been changed). Overall, the vehicle is in really good shape. Some rust on the bottom of the tailgate but virtually rust free everywhere else. Frame is solid and in great shape. Really only needs a good paint job. I have the doors and back hatch too. Originally a soft top vehicle, hard top was added prior to me getting the 40. Here are some nice features.

I am selling my 1974 FJ 40. It is red with black powder coated original steel wheels. It has the FJ 60 power steering upgrade, headers dual exhaust, just serviced by IRON PIG offroad in Fredricksburg, Va. This is a solid FJ, body is in great shape. It does need a new headliner. White wagon wheels and brand new in box Spector Offroad Bikini top included. This 40 has been garage kept by me for the last 2 years. It is driven on weekends and for trips to the beach and back and around town, but otherwise has been garage kept. Great running original rebuilt motor with 3 speed on the floor. This is overall a very solid 40. I do have clear title.
Looking for a 1969~79 FJ40 with a start up budget of around $4000. I live near Birmingham and would like to find something close; however I have a trailer and will travel for the right 40. At this price range I am expecting to get a basic rig or someone's unfinished project. I am the 2nd owner of a solid 1970 FJ40. Extensive work has been put in to eliminate and prevent all rusting areas. It has a Chevy 350 with 4 barrel Edlebrock carb and header back Flowmaster exhaust. The 350 was completely rebuilt in 2008 and has under 10,000 miles on rebuild. Original 3 speed transmission and rebuilt transfer case. Most fluids have been replaced in last 6 months, including: diffs, tranny, transfer case and motor oil and filter. It has BRAND NEW Cooper STT 32x11.50R15's put on in October. Looking to get rid of my 40, I am wanting to switch to an 80. I just don't drive it enough and my fiance isn't comfortable driving it at all. This unmolested FJ40 is all original except for the rims but has a lot of body rust.
The rear tub has significant rust through as do the foot well floor panels. Some miscellaneous other rust through on doors, RR quarterpanel. Firewall looks reasonably OK.
The upside is that this is a COMPLETE unmolested matching numbers OEM 1980 FJ40 except for the low miles BFG AT T/A Baja Champion tires and white spoke rims. Only about 1500 of these were brought in to the US that year I believe.
Hard starts and some stumble mid throttle. Probably carb rebuild or timing issue though possible valve job needed.
Transfer lever is stuck in 4H, almost certainly seized in the the linkage pivot. No evidence of internal transfer issues.
