I love this 40, and I'll probably never put this much time into a vehicle again, but I need to consider selling it to fund the startup of a new business. Here are the specs:

'72 F engine
Holley carb w/edelbrock intake
sm420 mated to 3 spd. t-case for 70:1 crawl ratio
Spring over - reversed stock springs in front, fj60 springs in rear
100" wheelbase
Cut and turned front axle for proper caster and driveshaft angle
Saginaw power steering conversion
GM 2-wire alternator
Pertronix electronic ignition conversion
Aussie locker in the front differential
35" Goodyear MTRs on 2.5" BS wagon wheels
Front disc brakes from a '76 FJ40
Rear disk brake conversion w/monte carlo calipers
Longfield birfield axles
ARP knuckle studs
4x4 Labs hysteer steering conversion
13" travel shocks
Custom traction bar
New oil pan
New radiator
All new brake lines
Krylon paint job
Lengthened heavy duty driveshafts (mini truck CV joint in rear using DOM, 14" travel square tube shaft in front with .25" X 2" receiver tube)
New EZ Wiring harness
Autometer tach, oil and temp guages
Metaltech profile cage with custom rear cage and frame tie-ins
Corbeau suspension seat with 5-point Crowe racing harness (driver's side)
(Still has original bench seat on passenger side, but I have another Corbeau and 5 point harness waiting to go in)
Comes with full doors and hardtop, and vinyl half doors.

The only rust spots on the tub are a small hole on each of the rocker panels, maybe quarter size. Other than that there is zero rust on this tub. Zero on the floor pans, zero on the underside. It could use a new tranny cover and rear half doors though. The passenger side rear quarter is crunched, but no rust. You should be able to cut it out and use a small quarter panel replacement from Cool Cruisers. Needs new speedometer cable and new parking brake cable.

This truck was taken down to the frame and rebuilt over 4 years. Almost everything was replaced except for the engine, rear axle, and the fiberglass fenders. Frame is new, body is new. It has been to Gilbert once and Pine City once - that's the extent of the trails it has seen since it was completed. It runs very nicely, goes down the freeway super straight, just doesn't go very fast. Probably less than 1,000 miles on it since I bought it.

I'd like to get $7000. Make me an offer and we'll talk. Not having to put my daughter in daycare is more important than keeping a vehicle that sees the street 3 months a year and the trail maybe once a year.

interested in a built FZJ?

I will also consider trades for camera equipment - that's what this is being used to fund. I'm looking for a Canon 5D, 5D MKII or 1D MK III, Canon 70-200 2.8 IS, Canon 580 EXII, Canon 10-22 or 16-35. If you have any of these we can deduct it from the cost of the vehicle.

This is a great rig. Tim is my neighbor, lives about a block from my house. I witnessed most of this build. Tim is a very detailed guy and it show in this rig. This is a great turnkey trail rig, runs and drives fantastic.

hate to see it go.......

As for shippers there are many out there that can transport this. Use the google do a search, im sure you will find some. At todays fuel prices it would be pretty inexpensive to ship this one...

Tim, I'm sad to see your selling your Cruiser. I really like that truck, well good luck with the sale.
