Out on infamous Trail 42 near Bartlett Lake in the Tonto near Carefree, Arizona yesterday…

Blew out the front plate of my steering box! It’s a 1967 brass tag so technically it was built in 66. I really do not want to modify, but I’m learning that these early steering boxes are expensive and hard to find parts for! Maybe someone here on mud swapped out for power steering and has some old parts sitting on the shelf?

For reference 9/67 the casting changed. Up the then steering box was held to the pedestal with a clamp style. Later it used four bolts to the pedestal. Not 100% sure of the other parts interchangeable but if the cast housing damaged you for sure need the early style. I spotted the loose one I have I have buried away. There was two, other one is 9/67-9/72.
