In post " not a good look for toyota lol" i said its still going strong it sort of is cos we still drove it home :)and mr police behind it then over took and didnt pull it over hmm:hhmm: .lucky because the clowns didnt have seat belts on either did the dog ;) i am really suprised the whole roof didnt crush in flat with over 2.5t of weight on 4 pillers it rolled about 6 or so times (i cant get the bold lettering to go small either) got the batterie out right away save sparks with petrol leaks, rolled 3 tyres of the rims so took em of while the car was on its roof rather than jacking up in the sand and to to servo to pump them up. on its wheels 4 a bit checked the oil cranked it up geez all the oil buring from the top of the motor smoked us out lol. enjoy

Very lucky to not have hurt themselves. Shows how tough the old cruisers are though.

Where abouts was this? Looks like marmion

Looks like Alkimos:rolleyes: or Lancelin.

Glad you are all ok.

Close with the spot guess fellas its burns beach pretty big dune in there but very very boggy .
Mates in it just have bruises n scratches i say there lucky they didnt get flung out the cab and the dogs got a cut foot
We picked up 2nd hand bits today got a roof lh door complete with glass and mirror score and back top half of the cab with glass and top of door rails from cab to window frame for $750 so not bad.
when you take the seat belt roll out there is 2 "secret" bolts behind em stumped us for a little why the old one wouldnt come off.
The window frame is bent didnt look it till we lined all the new parts on it and took the rear glass out and put the old tinted one in amazing that didnt break in the rolls
so it needs a new window frame which is really really rusty anyways and front gaurd 250 for a gaurd and around 300 for a 2nd hand window frame but will have to make sure its not rusty too
Im glad my 79 is insured of road ,,few

Wow, that is the first cab I've seen on a 70 sries that has rolled over and not crumple like a tin can !! Especially without a bar on the front of the tray.

A roll bar on the tray would be a good investment, not alot of room in a 75 cab. Most likely the easiest fix.

Looks like you fellas are powering through the repairs quickly:clap:

:cheers:NT

yea i think a roll bar would be the go proberly a 3" on the tray if you can find anyone who bends 3" in perth like you said not much room to put one in the cab
it needs to get the tyres off the rims and clean all sand out of the inside its putting the wheels out of balance

that shorty got wasted
maybe toyota should bring out cruiser with std incab roll bar like the 73's but over the front seats
The bloke steve who i get cruiser parts of said he throws out the in cab 79 series exminer roll bars and said he will save me the next one he gets hopefully it has the foam

After a quick search these guys do roll bars, not sure on pricing:meh: , I think most exhaust places may do one for the right price. If a little bit of pre lim work was done with measurements that may keep the price down. The ex miner bars sound like the most cost effective

Maybe fill the tyres completely with sand, it may lower the centre of gravity ;)
