OK, had the truck a few years. Got a bumper for it but never had the time to get it all painted.
PICS shows before and after pics. Here's a money shot:

Bumper - I had a bear of a time with the dril and cupped wire wheel. Used some Rustoleum Rust remover and that helped. Two passes with the wire and 2 coays and rinses with the rust removing goop. Then 2 coats of primer. Let sit overnight in chilly weather. Used Rustoleum Truck Bed Liner and did about 4 coats I would guess.

Grille and Headlight surrounds - wash and rinse, then compressed air to shoot all of the chrome flakes off. What a PIA. At one point is was like pixie dust everywhere as I blast the loose bits off. Then quick shot of primer and then heavy coat of the truck bed liner.

Man, heavy bumper and cold windy days and nights. Plenty of beer was had during and for celebration. Heh.

Time will tell how it holds up but at least the bumper is sealed up good and I can lo longer hear it rust as I get close to it...

Looking good. I don't know why I haven't done this mod yet. My hood is starting to look like yours :(.

Did you paint the vents on the side and rear?

Not yet. But I think I'll I'll do them as well with the bedliner.

Thanks.
