I don't know if this has already been posted if so sorry. I found this site and info about the recall on the 60 serries Land Crusier.

You can find out what has been recalled on your car, just enter your vehicle information.

This has been covered before but I forgot about it. My FJ-60's fuel tank had started leaking a couple of months ago and I couldn't figure out why/how it started.

Today I read this post and it reminded me that maybe the tank recall had not been done to my 60. But the tank in my 60 is from a 62 so I had to find the vin of the donor vehicle, then I called the Toyota dealership and gave them both vins and sure enough the recall had not been done to the 60 or the donor 62. I guess this is why they did it in the first place because with a full tank of gas it leaks pretty good. The service manager said to come in so he can order the parts. Thanks for reminding me about this, even though I should have known already .

has anyone done the seat belt recall? is it as simpe as calling the toyota dealship and having them look up your VIN and go from there?

chappy

I had both done same day....

seatbelt is for the rear outboard retractors. They just unbolt old ones and install new ones.

the tank, mounts and fuel lines is a few hour job or was for my dealership. The kit is no longer available so they have to order the 32+ parts individually. I gave a copy of printout to the service guy to help him out.

all i need is the seatbelts, have a 30 gallon tank out back allready.

New seatbelts in their entirety? or just new guides?

X2 on that I would be happy with just the same belts in new guides

it is just the new retractors themselves...but I honestly cant tell a difference looking at them and mine got stuck again last week so I need to go and look at my paperwork to make sure they actually did them....or what it entailed. :D :D
