Hi, I did some searching on the forum for mounting locations for my radar detector but have not found anything conclusive.
My choice would be to have on the windshield under my rearview mirror with its own suction cups. But since my LC has armored glass it has a special polycarbonate coating on the inside of the glass designed to absorb any debris from a bullet impact.
I mounted my detector on the glass and the suction cups left very visible marks on the glass. I have tried everything to remove them but nothing will work.
So with this for now I have mounted the radar detector on my passenger side sun shade. I have attached a photo of it.
Can any one suggest any other option so that the sunshade can be just the sunshade and the radar detector can be mounted permanently elsewhere?
