Tires came in today and I made it by the tire shop before they closed. Final price is $1050 mounted w/ free rotation. These things are as quiet as the worn stock tires and ride MUCH better. I could feel and hear every bump before, now the stiffer tire soaks up some of that and give the feeling of a smoother ride. I couldn't be happier!
They do look a little "stuffed" so a small lift (torsion bar and rear coils/spacer) will come soon enough. I don't even want to calculate MPG, but will next time I go anywhere on the highway. City MPG will suck no matter what, so I won't even bother with that.

Kind of a GY duratrac look-a-like! If they ride as well as the duratrac, and you got five for that price, you got a good deal and a good tire.

It was the best deal I could find localy and get the free rotation. I only bought 4 but am going to find a used (maybe free from the same shop) 285 that I can mount as my spare. That should take care of any VSC issues if I have to use my spare.
And yes, they are made by the same mold as the goodyears, just a different tread pattern. Bottom line came down to looks for me. I have always like the TSR better than the DT.

I'm still in shock that it's mine. And my wallet is in shock after the few things I've done to in in three days LOL!
I checked the brakes while the wheels were off at the tire shop. LOTS of pad left and they look like Toyota pads. Bearings seem tight, no play up/down or side/side. I'll repack one of these days.
I did find the small cv boot clamp was not on and there was some grease loss over who knows how long. I'll add as much grease as I can inject in there and seal it back up until I hear popping. Then it'll be time for new CV's, but I expect that will be a while from now. I would rebuild them, but don't really want to mess w/ them and since everything is silky smooth now, I'll just add grease and cross my fingers (unless I find more bad news when I get the wheel back off).

Yeah I know you're right, but I dread having to break the front end down to do it. I may patch it up for now cause it'll only take a few mins. Then put a boot kit on in the near future. I'm actually not sure if the small clamp has been off or just came off when the put it on the lift today. Either way I can see that it's lost some grease. The good news is everything is still smooth, no popping or binding. Maybe I can get by with a rebuild soon.
