Man that D40 carburetor looks fantastic...I think it's the best I have ever seen.
Better than new......Great work...

After waiting TWO YEARS for my bed to get painted it's finally done! Well almost, I still need a do a few little things here and there. I also need a horn button and a wiper arm nut & bolt:rolleyes:.

OUTSTANDING!

It’s a shame to cover that beautiful carburetor with that beautiful air breather!

outstandingly pretty.

Still wondering about that second bed.
Unfortunately, the horn button got damaged so I am on the hunt for a new one.

The bed that was original to the 45 had a few rust spots, so my uncle was able to find another in great shape.

OOPs didn't notice the sold out

These look very nice but unfortunately have been sold out. Hopefully Roger will make another batch.

You all would die if see this 45 in person…

Mikes attention to detail is crazy cool…

The pics he posted have the window facing away.

I thought the reason for the window was so an owner could see the fuel level after hood opening. As a quick knowledge of fuel feed. I never saw a big window carb installed where you need a mirror.

The pic in post #38 has the carb installed rotated, linkage is pointing forward and not connectable, fuel inlet pointing to the rear instead of forward. The pic in post #47 shows it in correct orientation, but can’t see the window because of the air cleaner. And that carb has a solenoid, I don’t think SD40’s did (or do), so I’m guessing not an SD 40. Why all this nonsense? Who knows. Beautiful build!
