Tore the donor 5.7 down to simple green and pressure wash it and rough fit my hardtop patches. Trying to MIG when I normally TIG. Yes MIG is way harder for me.

Well, It has been A long time since I posted any pictures of my progress. Between the fires in our area over the summer and work, I hadn't had much time to work on it. But I'm back on it again.
The goal is Moab in April. I still have A lot to do. But it runs, drives, stops, all of the important stuff. I still have much to do. Lockers, roll bar, winch mount, disk brakes, some electrical, to name a few of the big things. And a lot of little but big stuff, as in recovering the seats ect. Also things that I will tackle after the trip. Such as the rust under the drivers seat, removing all the roll in bed liner...…...Never ending!

It's been a long time. Working on the rear spring/shackle mounts, trying to get the shackle angle set with weight. Took apart the pack to just the main leaf to see where the shackle would be with it flat. The plan is 37's, shown are just like about 29's. I'm going to have to do something with the wheel well. They had been trimmed by PO

At lest he did a decent job of it, and left a smooth edge - unlike my PO, that looks like he did it with a cold chisel, 'cause who was going to see it under the cheesy plastic flares anyway?

Agreed! Wish I could go back in time and beat the P.O. who took a sawzall to my fenders. ;)

Picked me up a parts rig for cost of the tow.
