High dollar jewelryBut they are so $$$ looking.
Total Bonus when you find NOS yellow chromated bolts. Attampting to pretend to be a chemist and DIY chromate old crusty bolts, NOT a bonus.High dollar jewelry
Oh, I get that. From 1st hand experience it also depends on how far down the DIY rabbit hole you go with this process. If you buy the chemicals that are easily available as you said, that can take the guessing out of it and, make for a somewhat easy process. If you attampt to create these plating solutions yourself that, can be fuitle. The videos I found made it appear easy. Not so much unlesss you have premade chemicals and bring some patience.Big fan of make it yours. Its your money your way in a free country at least for now. Plenty of good vids for DIY electro rust removing and plating. Today you can buy new stuff, that might not be true tomorrow, next: week, month, year, however fixing it yourself with skills and knowledge should remain a viable option for a long time. Look at the Cuban cars for example.
Y'know those little thingies ("fuel filters" Toyota calls them, IIRC)?

Thinking I can use it as a source for the vacuum gauge
I ordered new suspension parts, and a 2" lift kit. I was debating it, but when I was rebuilding my front end I saw the shackles were all wallowed out and the bushings were cracked. If I'm replacing that might as we do it all. Oh and if anyone has the dimensions on the spare tire swing mount it would be appreciated. Last owner was going to front bumper mount it, I want it in back. I have the arm and support brackets, but they patched over the old holes, I don't want to mount it lopsided.WHYD to your Cruiser this week?
I bet you're right.I thought is was "gas filter", air being a gas and all. Engrish.
That looks pretty good, its clean and flush to the body. I've seen these set ups online, I am trying to keep it close to original, or resto mod original, but I may end up going this route because ease of installation. I won't have to drill through my body again.Got the 4 plus products tire carrier Installed couldn't be more happy start to finish great product service and company

What does that connection look like ? Was there a reason you used a hard line vs a rubber hose? Maybe it is a plastic line cant tell...Y'know those little thingies ("fuel filters" Toyota calls them, IIRC)? I heard there was an obstruction of some sort in them that affected vacuum somehow. It's true, there's something in there. So I drilled a hole in it. Thinking I can use it as a source for the vacuum gauge
