Just slapped a coat of paint on the cruiser. Really did not like the previous color. Went back to blue. That is kind of like its original blue. Cost under $100. Its good for the season.

That's only a $100 paint job! I wish I had your skills. Nice!

MetalTech Jackson cage and new OEM weatherstripping for the front doors and rear hatch, and new window felts, etc on the way!

Since I just got it a couple weeks back, I'm still trying to figure out what I have. But this week I removed an overhead console that I may modify and put back. Re-attached the seat belt so it will pass inspection (not sure why it was unattached). Worked on rust removal in the bed a bit.

Mostly I'm just trying to figure out what is stock and what is not so I can make some decisions about how to go forward. Suspension, wheels and tires are the first order of business.

Took out the wiper motor to be given the once over....only to have this happen as I was getting off Big Blue (76 FJ40)

Was so sick of looking at a red interior in a mustard truck.

Yep....ketchup and mustard.

Tore most everything out and rattle caned the interior grey. During the process I found a set of APC seats on sliders on CL for $200. Snatched those up and now the interior looks a bit more respectful.

Just waiting for my stereo from Amazon to arrive!

It had been sitting in a box in the garage, I finally got tired of moving the box around the garage.

Next week I'll be installing a fan shroud....

Swapped / added wheel spacers. Ordered up another set of billet spacers from All-Pro Off Road, swapped the 1.5" spacers to the rear and added the 1" spacers on the front. Like the look a lot better, only took it for a quick spin around the block, no real testing yet. Now I need to align the front end...

Got the inside of the doors carpeted today. Kept a little touch of the old doors too... although I don't really like the orange, I'm going to paint them grey again I think. Still have a little triming to do around the edges too.

My buddy recommended the bushings on the leaf springs get replaced as well.

that should make a noticeable improvement in ride quality

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Playing around with the spring packs. Trying to soften the ride, lower it and get more flex. Ended up removing all of these lol. This must have carted concrete in another life...

New ride height.

Flexy flexy...

Testing out the new spring packs and making sure everything clears. Plus measuring up for new rear shocks and bumpstops.

Front shocks limited my travel in both directions, which was a pain. So ill see about ordering some really long travel ones in.
