After my recent 2” lift install my BJ40 developed the infamous driver-side lean so I installed a CCOT leveler block kit, yesterday, and the result is a perfectly leveled, no-lean rear.
Surely you have a photo or two of the installation to share with the rest of us Leaners?

Sadly, I didn’t take photos of the install but I can tell you that it wasn’t a plug n play process. The center spring bolt provided by CCOT was too large, both in cap and bolt thickness. To avoid having to drill the springs, I improvised and went to the hardware store and purchased a bolt that would work. Bada Bing!

Oh,.. and don’t call me Shirley! ;)

Auto parts stores sell center bolts. I personally use shcs at the proper length. They're stronger than grade 8 with the proper head profile. .

Curious, why/how are they stronger?

Stronger alloy than grade 8 material.

"Socket head cap screws (SHCS) are high-strength fasteners, commonly featuring a tensile strength of 180,000 psi for sizes up to 1/2 inch and 170,000 psi for 5/8 inch and larger. They are typically manufactured from alloy steel to ASTM A574 standards, providing approximately 50% more strength than Grade 5 and 20% more than Grade 8 bolts."

I think center pins are grade 5 material. In the past I've broken or bent stk center pins from wheeling. That's also why I dont bolt caster shims to my springs. I went shcs and never have had a problem. Many yrs ago i used to sell fasteners, @EWheeler is spot on.

Venezuela FJ45, classic story…owner bought it at auction, it’s not the best. He has had it a year and a half and barely had it on the road, the trans is toast.

We are going to see if we can do our best to put it on the road for him and provide some Land Cruiser “stoke” back into his life! Sad thing when you get one of these and get beat up over it all. It’s got dozens of things (negative) but really only two we know of atm that are keeping it off the road, the trans and currently no idea if the 2F has oil pressure.

Cheers

Then last week or so i believe i jumped something on the road to do an illegal turnaround or because of heat and cold, that made middle pipe crack. Luckily i found an oem brand new ready to serve another 30 years.

The only part that is still stock is the front pipe but I'll keep it until it cracks in the future

Next step to address a way to make to can fits in for long desert trips. And make sure if i can fit 75 front tank that takes 90L

I'll do my best to keep the spare underneath because it looks good and unfortunately the cross member for tire winch is welded and and don't want to do any cutting in the future
