I did the same thing, Home Depot indoor/outdoor carpet. It was like $20, cheap enough to experiment. I also put some Silas sound deadoning material under the carpet, really does make a difference.

addendum: may have jumped the gun, local old timey mechanic told me I should've purchased 134 for my '83. Guess I'll wait for the truck to be delivered next week-ish to see what the Saudi spec freon is.

Had the rear jump seats blasted and painted. I installed the cruiser corp seat covers. Special ordered black leather. I'm happy with how they turned out.
I did this too. Great project for a lot less than what an OEM headliner costs. Absorbs noise and insulates better as well.
New watertemp gauge, from Autometer. Has a smaller sweep than the old one, which I like. I don't really need a gauge that goes to 280, I'll probably stop if it hits 240.
Plumbed it into the waterpump so I can compare and contrast it with the head watertemp reading.
Just started it up for the first time, to check for leaks and stuff. Brought it up to temp to see if it worked. New gauge, on the right, warms up quicker but they both settled on 180 after a while at idle

With the new temp sender in the new waterpump and not leaking I could finish putting in the new radiator and pressure test the system. New rebuilt power steering pump and high pressure hose too.

Installed fittings and made up and ran the LP hose from the steering box to the cooler and the to the reservoir.
Banjo fitting and bolt for the pump output.
Connected the steering box to the cooler

I like these fittings much better then the push locks. I have fittings coming for the HP hose and will replace the suction line with one from the reservoir to the pump.

Where did you get the new lenses from?
I used the blaster stuff last fall on my sequoia to try and keep some of the salt at bay over the winter here up in Alaska. It comes out of the can thick. I looked at it recently and it was still soaked on there really well. Seems to do the job.

Went with this option on mine, color matched some screws. Kinda like your option, thoughBecause the previous owner had drilled a big hole for one, and only the screws were left. So I put a new one on with the same mounting points. Not attached to anything currently. All for looks at this point.
