My ‘64 has a (what I believe to be) 4” Skyjacker lift. No idea if it needs to be replaced or not bc I’ve never ridden in any other 40. Is there a way to find out how old they are? I haven’t seen any numbers on the springs…granted I haven’t really looked.
Leaf springs do not need to be replaced because they are old. They need replaced when they loose their spring. My ‘64 has a (what I believe to be) 4” Skyjacker lift. I spy a comfortable lift.
Got any pictures of that?I made a hood rest out of delron, with high magnetic strips on one side and 1/4" rubber on the other. Just stick on the windshield frame over window and lean hood on it. When done, pull hood rest off and stick inside '40, say under the seat. I think online warehouse that I bought the super thick high magnetic tape from was McMaster-Carr. I bought 10 feet of it and it's mostly gone now.
Yeppers, it’s powder coated. Unfortunately the center cap scraped off a few bits of it.Is that a powder coated 60 series wheel? It looks great!
Not presently. It's inside the '40 under a cover (no garage). I'll see what I can do.Got any pictures of that?

Wow. That's not even work me fixing and painting my old one. Thx...I went to pickup my new bumper from Toyota. I do love shiny new parts.
For anyone who doesn't know, new bumpers are still available from Toyota either online or shipped to your local dealer. Part is 52111-60030. My dealer charged $210.
As a tip. Order this part from your dealer and go and pick it up. Dont have someone ship this item to you. There is a good chance it will get damaged in transit. If you get it from the dealer you can check it out before you take possession and there are no shipping charges.

Love the leather seat booster. Sorry don't know the actual name to them. My dad always had them in his trucks.I wanted to to color the steering column for weeks, and it turned out pretty good!

Nice Chevy truck in the background. Finally got to putting the roof back on the rain gutter. So much work building up to this. Rivets, self leveling sealer, paint and then I'm washing my hands with it.
