Started with an OEM hubcap and DOT certified brake light that would sit inside of it.

Connected with waterproof bullet connectors to a length of wire that was spliced into rear wire harness.

They were from my shelf. I have had them for about 4 years. I bought a rear bumper kit for my 3rd gen 4runner and never used it. The spindle and latch were in the kit. You can get them from Amazon. Nothing special .

Hi Airon23 these handles were on when I bought the 40 I don't think there automotive but I liked them to so I put the back on hope the pictures help

I like this idea. Even my 90 year old mom could climb into my Chevy pickup using her arm to pull herself up to the seat and plop down. There are days when I might benefit from an added handle. So, for $10….you get two of these on Amazon.

Toyota had a grab handle on the later model 40 series. This is the stock location.

Personally think farther forward would have been better.

70 series shared the bolt pattern as the 40 forty series.

Unfortunately the B pillar were never on our 60/62 series.
 
Took Mr. Myagi out for his winter-monthly leg stretch. 8" of new snow this morning and I think he enjoyed it.

@Living in the Past thanks for the new mounting location… I think I like the mounting position above the window and slightly forward.
