What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Flushed the cooling system and added Toyota Red coolant part # 00272-1LLAC-01 and drove the 40 around while I ran some errands. I filled up with ethanol free gasoline (89) just curious what does everyone else run in there 2F? Also where does your temp gauge sit when at operating temp? I will include a pic of my cluster after driving for about 5 miles.View attachment 3542520

I use the Zerex Red 50/50 coolant and eth free gas 92-89% depending upon availability.

Your gauges look to be in the same positions as my 77s at operating temperature - :steer:
 
I did the same thing with the mirrors, and yeah I found the idea here too. It was @roadstr6 that I saw do it first. It's held up over 3 years now, seems to be a good setup :). I used factory mirror part# (87901-60011). I deviated a little and just did 1 slice with the dremel and then twisted the piece to fit it on the arm... twisted it back once it was over the ball and then soldered it back together. I can't solder or weld very good, but the end result has been okay.

That is the exact reason I did this!
My passenger side has the cracks from overtightening in an effort to get it to stay put.

Nice piece of heavy OEM goodness for not a lot of cash.
I can’t stand this plastic mirrors. I have tried to eliminate the convex view but finally found them…again, plastic. ….this is 101% for me

EDIT; ordered 2 of these at $23.24 each…it that possible?

Package arrived today straight from Japan. Wrapped up very well with brown fiber reinforced tape over every seam and around the middle. Not surprisingly it arrived safe and sound.

I have ordered from several of the overseas sources and these boxes arrive like packages of cocaine you see in the movies. It takes a Sheetrock knife to get into it

Do those break as often as the Pig rear tailgate handles? Very similar arm design…

I’d say yes… although I’ve never had a Pig. They consistently break where the notch for the lock lever is cut. This will be the third for my truck in the time I’ve owned it (since 1991)

I run regular gas, which is usually 10% ethanol here. I run ethanol-free in all of my 4-wheelers, lawnmowers, and etc. but I drive my 40 a lot and it would be very expensive to run ethanol-free in that.

When I still had the stock temp. gauge, it looked just like yours. Now that I have a calibrated gauge, it sits right at 180 degrees.
