They are great people and they have done a lot of work on my 1985 4X4 pickup over the years.
I didn't know that they had years of experience working on Land Cruisers too.

not sure if it strong enough ... just weld a bolt inside and drill it...

rent a Hotsie... its a steam/hot water pressure heater. Get a few 40 friends to go in together on a days rental. You'll have a squeeky clean chassis in minutes! They're really amazing and heat is the key.
Watch out for your extremities if you use a Hotsie. A friend inadvertently sprayed his foot with one of these while cleaning a floor. I had the "pleasure" of cutting his shoe off to reveal several 2nd degree burns. Be careful.
What did you use for the mounts that bolt to the windshield frame? Did the holes match up to the factory spacing?Thanks Dizzy. Looked online and found cheap ones that were made cheaply/poorly and for a Jeep. Also noticed that Icon sells something similar for the FJ, but they are asking 450 dollars. I am in for about 30 bucks total for mine.... plus they are one of a kind
I just used the original sun visor mounts and posts so the holes were perfect. I had to cut and weld the post extending from the mount so that it would clear the roll cage, but other than that the original was good to go.
Day 1 pulled the rear suspension and removed the rear crossmember. Blood, sweat, tears were all shed.
Day 2 got the new cross member back in. New spring and ubolts. Left the shocks off for another day. Also installed my new trailer hitch receiver.

Damn! At least put some superglue on it and hold it closed while it dries.
It will scar better if it heals open!

Can't believe they made them from plastic. At least replacements are metal!
