Located and installed an original fuel filter bracket along with the OEM fuel filter. Seeing all the fishing posts, closest I have is a pale ale with a picture of a fish!

Drove the 40 up to Detroit lake last weekend... Great day. No shot of the 40, but here's a shot off the bow...

Mounting my roof rack, I had a local shop bend some channel that will allow me to remove and install the rack without removing the gutter clamps or crossbars. So I now have the groundwork laid for a method of transporting fly rods fully assembled and ready to go, with or without a roof rack installed.

Drilled the holes to mount to the gutter clamps and the holes for the rack, rounded the edges to help avoid nasty cuts.

It's a one person operation installing the rack.

For now, that will probably change once I put an expanded metal "floor" on the rack.

From the photo it looks like you could hit your head on the end of the front cross rail.

I'll have to put it all back together and check that out, getting in my head usually goes in first so I think it'll be alright, but definitely worth checking out. It really only sticks out past the top maybe an inch or so.

As far as walking by and hitting the bar, you'd need to be 6'10" or so!

Painted the front half. Both coats are epoxy primer despite of the color. First time for me to use a spray gun, it was quite rewarding working.
