Plasti-dipped the stock wheels black. I'm sure it won't hold up, but I will probably powder-coat down the road. I'm liking the look-looks mean.

Didn't do much other than a round trip of +500kms (310miles) toda. With temps still soaring around +45c(113F) the trans temp hovered around 106c (222F) for part of the journey.

That's exactly what I did with my rock warriors is plasti dipped first. They got scuffed a little bit but liked the look and then got them powder coated.

Plasti dipped chrome garnish. Needs one more coat. Couldn't wrap as originally planned as not enough surface area on letters to hold the vinyl down. The Colorado winter has given my chrome a mag bath.

Plastic dip would have been so much easier! Ha. I think you will be the first to have powder coated the RWs. Glad I will see them and can maybe be the second if they turn out good.

@Desert Yeti , where'd you buy the knob? I know of a dozen places that carry fj40 parts, but Im wondering if you had to use a special thread pitch (I know the 200 has reversed threads)

Arich was first. Asked him for advice on PC. I did plasti dip first but then dealer scratched them during rotate and they ordered me new ones which went straight to PC.
