What have you done to your 200 Series this week? (20 Viewers)

Got my starter motor replaced. Grrr. But I also picked up a set of "lightly used" 4 Rock Warriors from a 'Mudder via Craigslist. Usable as-is but I'll probably give the trim rings a little TLC. I have 4 already (newish Nitto RGs) but wanted to get at least 1 more so I could have a matching spare (and do 5-tire rotation). But the price was right.

Or maybe get a set of Pirelli P-Zero P275/35R17's for summer tires. :steer:

I purchased 5 new Ridge Grapplers today as part of Discount tires presidents days special. Which is $65 off normal price plus if you sign up and finance same as cash you pick up an additional $75 off - why not. No stipulations about paying it off early either, which I will this week. Basically, half the price of a tire was given to me as a rebate / promo. I have enjoyed my Cooper Stt Pros but the side wall profile swells out enough that I've had to run front spacers and I'm done with that. The Coops will soon be taken off the 200 and mounted on some SCS F5's that I got for my 80 series.
New shoes all around!
These NRG tires are silent!!!!!! After 50,0000 miles on trail grapplers and 12,000 miles on STTPros I am really liking these tires

Finally got my OEM front strut spacers installed. I gained a total of 1.25” in the front to level it out. Took it to the shop for an alignment and everything aligned perfectly. I have had a brake vibration since I purchased it 5k miles ago. I finally had the time to resurface all 4 rotors to eliminate the pulsation. She drives like a dream now.

Funny. I ALMOST sent you a PM a couple days ago to say "Can you believe how quiet those RG's are??"

They do get a little noisier over time...but ya. Dang quiet on pavement, ain't they?

And what 200 operator's garage isn't complete without oriental carpets? lol. ;-)

Those rugs have saved my knees and kept me off of cold concrete through many repairs. When I’m not at home this is how I prefer to work:View attachment 1642013

Nice.

Hope your boss doesn't see you turning those rotors without your safety glasses on. :p

Can you elaborate what you mean by, "I had nothing but trouble with my FrontRunner..."?

I outlined the issue in my build thread. The rack wouldn’t sit flat it was way off, Frontrunner sent new rails and it didn’t fix the problem. Replaced with a Rhino Rack and the Rhino Rack is perfectly flat, so I would say its not the truck but an issue with Frontrunner. It wasn't my install job either, I sent plenty of pictures and measurements back and forth to Frontrunner and their engineers agreed it was installed correctly.

I recall that now, but didn't realize it was you. Thanks.

The biggest deterrent to FR for me is what seems like an extraordinary waste of height if you don't want their $400 table. I want any weight I put up there to sit as low as possible.

To be honest haven't actually done it yet...

But I have been looking locally for a while now and I finally found a set of RWs at a somewhat reasonable price - bonus is that they have BFG KO2s with about 75% tread remaining.

Now going to see if Discount Tire or ??? will handle the TPMS at some reasonable price. Tires/wheels came from original owner, TPMS dead on one wheel, batteries probably near dead on the working wheels.

As an aside the guy asked me if I wanted a 5.7 supercharger (still on his truck). Turning his Tundra back to stock before looking for something new. Unfortunately my wallet is just not fat enough at the moment.

Discount Tire replaced all 5 of my TPMS sensors, no issues. I think I paid $50-$60 a wheel.

I just leveled mine and can't believe how much better it looks. That little bit of lift really changes the profile.
