Ordered OPOR sliders couple of weeks ago and await them next month! This week, working on Flexi dip'n my 16" OEM wheels. I currently have 17" Antera custom wheels and don't wish to use them for off-road. However, the five oem wheels I bought used don't match. So I'm flexidiping them and possibly paint them a custom color.

Here are a couple of before and after pics of one of hte wheels.

Not weekend but tonight....I had some time to kill so I figured I would start working on a light bracket that replaces the rear spoiler, giving you the ability to mount lights high in the rear. I have a CO. trip planned (unfortunately right after everyone leaves from HIH8) so I want more 360* lighting around the rig to help during camp setup. What do you guys think of the first prototype? 1/32" aluminium replica of the real original cardboard model. Figured I should start small because it'd be easier to fine tune the exact angles later. Let me know your thoughts on it so far. Especially the aluminum vs. steel idea? As you can see in my pics the 1/32" alum. bows a lot since I used a Rigid pod that is not surprisingly heavy. I'll keep working on it....but no promises it'll turn out to be pretty!:D As a side note I know it looks weird with only one light on one side but I will check to see if this same bracket will work on the other side as well.

Here is where the bracket is ever so slightly touching the paint. I have a few ideas about how to solve this, but that'll have to wait due to higher priorities at the moment. Just thought I'd let everyone know...and don't be surprised if it turns out worse than the original:)

Washed and ready for a little road trip.
I bought mine to build for off-roading so it's been a while since it looked like that and honestly, I sometimes forget just how beautiful these trucks are in their factory form. Your truck looks great!

Thank you, I really appreciate it. I’m hesitant to do anything to it because I love the factory look as well!

1998 LC, 337k miles
New driver’s side valve cover gasket, coil gaskets and new plugs tonight. Looked good considering the miles.

Passenger side tomorrow...

My 2013 Prius v is my daily driver. It’s nice being able to leave a project and come back to it when you get time.

Would REALLY like this. And a garage... :)

The cruiser crossed 240k miles this week. In the past 3 weeks I’ve driven from dallas to my lease in Hamilton, TX, a duck hunting spot I have in Paris, TX, and drove to Tulsa for a wedding this past weekend.

Truck did great but in Tulsa I noticed some weird grinding with the suspension cycling. The truck made it home but on my commute today I noticed a very odd rumbling/popping that came with speed on my drivers side. I had myself convinced it was a bad CV (ask @DirtDawg i probably sent him 75 texts worrying about it). So I got home tonight, jack the truck up, get my wheel lock key out, put it on the lug, and I noticed it was literally backed out so far the “acorn” of the lug was beyond the outside edge of the wheel. Sure enough 3 of my other lugs were finger tight and the last was backed out like the wheel lock. I think I forgot to do a final torque on my lugs on the drivers side when I replaced that shock only. Scary....but so glad I looked.

I popped off my dust cap while it was on the jack and my snap ring was good, CV looked great (torn bolts but I knew that), and nothing appeared to be out of place. Drove it around and feels great. My wife was not happy about this little mistake, and she’s not wrong this small mistake could’ve cost us a lot more than money. Keep your head on a swivel, check and double check everything!!!

Here’s pics of the cruiser doing “around town” duty, including sitting in the valet line at the casino in Tulsa :D

you're sooooo lucky!

Today I finally sold my Michelin Latitude Tour HP tires. The guy who bought them pulled up in a 2005 LC. Very happy with the Continental TerrainContact A/T tires, still. I've put just over 1000 miles on them so far.

I "repaired" my Rexxing rear camera. Turns out it was just unplugged. I need to move the plug to a more secure location.

I also had to pull off the liftgate carpet/liner, and another chunk broke off the back. I think I might need to consider replacing it, soon.

Scary, but good catch! Just for safety sake, I may need to tag along for a duck hunt. :D
