So I have been crazy at work getting Stelah, our new hundred ready to leave in a week for our 15k mile summer trek we normally take.

Stelah has a supercharger but had scary torque steer. I mean downright scary in the right circumstances. Well... She got a new rack, new lower ball joins, New SPC Uppers, and extended sway bar links this week. Needless to say all of that corrected everything and she drives amazing now with Zero Torque Steer!!!

Then...

My daughter and I tore everything apart in the back and installed our new EmuWings for Reaper. Man getting them lined up and straight was a pain. All I can say is get a 7mm spanner. A socket doesn't really work.

They are absolutely incredible!!!

Next, we decided to break out the big power tools and cut up the tailgate. Thanks to Jason at Trail-Tailor we now have tailgate storage for straps and crap. Reaper also likes this since they took up to much of his trunk. :)

Things are getting done... but we still have a ton to do.

Sleeved 90's - $2.00 each
30' 1" 14ga around $20.00
30' 3/4" 14ga roughly the same $.
2 cans of Krylon bed liner $11
1 can Krylon gloss black $5
Grand total of $65 bones. Not bad.

I found some 1" angle. Cut 6 5" pieces for mounting brackets.

Bolted the 5" long 1" angles to to original rack locations +the middle. I only used 2 of the 3 bolt holes on each bracket. Set up rack to my liking and tacked pieces of 3" strap to the angles. And again tacked the strap to the rack.
It is a bit crude, but I will clean up and round corners after my upcoming trip. 4 days to Telluride.

Got my new grill.
100% worth the wait.
@kellysaad.
Real easy to install and very solid. I wouldn’t change a thing.

Almost ready for hih. Unfortunately after rebooting the cv’s the truck developed a really annoying vibration. Felt like the drivetrain but the ujoints are solid and the driveshafts seems ok.
Ordered wheel bearing kit from cruiser outfitters just in case.
After a couple of frustrating test drives my tech seems to think it’s the front axles. Which he states are aftermarket.
Awesome.
Got 10 days to get it done.
Clock is ticking.
At least she looks good.

Took off my running boards.

While under the truck I noticed a little water dripping from the plug in the cabin floor on the driver’s side. I’d been having wind noise along the left side of the windshield and thought there might be a leak. Found the previous windshield replacement was done using screws and there was one missing along the driver’s side. (Probably the source of my noise and water.) Now, I have no doubt they’re well crafted, quality screws, but as we know they’re not the best tool for the this job. I replaced the screws with 3/16” rivets and a dab of FIPG. The window job took about an hour, including the time to go out and buy the rivets.

Thanks to @bozncsurf got my tires mounted to some wheels that aren't oxidized/look like crap.
Wheels are real clean but may be too close in color to Galactic Grey Mica for my liking but who knows, still thinking it over.
Also finally got a Vias MML-T1 installed, so long tape deck adapter.

When I pulled everything for the Emu wings, I just ordered two Dayton Audio ND105-4 4" Aluminum Cone Midbass Neo Driver 4 Ohm to replace the crappy factory subs. They were 22 bucks each and have some great reviews for being so little.

Well I pulled the two stock speakers, used a jigsaw to cut off the top part of the speaker, then tore it apart so all I had was the "mount" part. I just reattached these in their stock place and then mounted the new subs (lol... these are subs for ants) . I used tek screws to just go through the metal mount and then into the plastic.

The turned out great and sound 1000 times better. It is no deep deep sub bass but enough for my old ass ears. LOL

I also installed my new Rad Rubber engine splash guards. These came up in conversation about 6 pages back, and I got some to replace the ones held on by zip ties on my rig.

They look great! 2 per side.

I've never changed the oil in the diffs or transfer case myself and I'm not sure its even been done in the last 100K miles - Ugh. So I was under the rig looking around to find the fill and drain plugs and came across red fluid coming down above the transmission. When I first saw it on the crossmember, I thought "Oh S**t, I have a transmission leak." Then realized it was coolant. I had replaced the heater T's and hoses about 6-8 weeks ago but reused the clamps. Both hoses which go towards the firewall showed signs of leaking at the T. Another Ugh...

I re-positioned the hoses and moved the clamps a bit more towards the flared end of the T. It took 1/2 gallon of 50/50 mix to get the radiator and reserve tank back to full. I'll have to keep an eye on it and possibly replace the clamps. Luckily with new hoses, they still pull off easy when the clamp is released. I see many others reuse the clamps and don't have issues. Wonder what the problem was with mine? It was the first time they had been changed. Or maybe I'll just get some new clamps and change them out. I haven't decided yet.

I don't see a 100 series product listing on their website:

Rad Rubber Design – FJ Fender Flaps, Toyota Engine Splash Guards – Rad Rubber Design – FJ Fender Flaps, Toyota Engine Splash Guards

Did you use a set for another vehicle, or do they now have a 100 series product, that just hasn't made it to their website yet?

this is what I said in my instal today.

Eddie, the owner of Rad Rubber has some guards for our rigs but they aren’t on his website as they are custom . Give him a shout at radrubberdesign@gmail.com

Tell him that you heard about him on Mud and he might become a vendor. I know he will be at FJ Summit July 17-22 of this month after HIH, so drive up to Ouray and get some. Actually come up anyway... its changing to The Toyota Summit next year!

Hope this helps. Let me know if you want any other pictures.

Crap... I forgot, I also put Noico 80 mil sound deadener in my new rear tailgate storage. This is the on,y thing that is easier in The Florida sauna.

Little more than 6 hours of rubbing paint.. Still have to polish some stuff and finish waxing also removed the eye sore of running boards.

I installed some new seat covers on my trashed seats! They are NeoSupreme Custom Fit from a brand called Seat Designs.

I bought them from AutoAnything for $165.00 - Click Here

Just bought this 100 Series with 242K and the previous owners trashed it.

They look so much better and feel nice! I don't have the money for the leather replacements and i would much rather put the money into some suspension or tires right now.

How are you liking them after driving for a few days? Do they slide on the leather much? Mine is starting to split and these look pretty tight until I pony up for recovering...

_ out of 10 would buy again??
