Verified that my AHC is healthy! 8-9 notches from LO to HI.

Posting a small tech post shortly.

Still tinkering with my OBA set up, I relocated the compressor's air filter.

Just replaced 4 door lock actuator motors. Cost $21 and work like new now. Would not be easy for someone will little experience.

Wife's LX DS actuator just died. Any chance you did a write up? Where did you get the actuators from? Thank you.

Do a search, lots of info on the procedure and sourcing the motors. I payed 8 bucks for 5 motors i think (and thats super expensive compared to what some people have payed)

Is that the hot side that always looks like hell? I guess it's time for me to do it too! 06 with 141K miles.

What did I do to my Land Cruiser today? Made a mess... I painted the grille. Simple enough... but the rattle can paint ATE the paint on the grille. Anywhere my sanding/scuffing broke through to the plastic-chrome - the paint rippled around that area. So, I sanded it - which made much larger areas of exposed plastic-chrome... and even more rippling. I'm stumped. The grille is a $%*@ing mess.

I had good luck with Rustolem satin black. Try a coat or two of primer first.

Thanks guys - the primer actually added another problem - crackling! I tried it after posting - before you guys suggested the primer, so you're not on the hook ;)

Not a clue what's going on... it's a damn mess. I sanded with 220, then 320, blew off the dust, then wiped it with a barely damp cloth... sprayed a light coat (TONS of experience with a rattle can) ... and wrinkle. Might be time for a new grille... damn it.

I would let everything dry for a while before applying any paint or additional coats of paint. I had this problem before where I would add a second coat to quickly and it would cause the first layer of paint or primer which was not 100% dry to bubble or looked crackled. Does not take much moisture to cause problems.

Those headlights look so good @crimsonaudio with that light bar. did you remove the trip around your grill? what color paint did you use on the grill?
Thanks!

I used anthracite grey Platisdip for the grill - just took he whole grill off and sprayed it.

That's my guess. I'm not certain of the circuit flow direction, but the tee that was in bad shape was the driverside one.

Try wiping down with isopropyl alcohol instead of water.

Haven't you learned from some quality time in the 100 forum that Plastidip is your friend?? haha. Good luck with getting it fixed!

Replaced Tee's....2006 with 140k. The hot side cracked on me, which caused all fluid to be lost from radiator. Had to park till parts came in. Pic is new vs. old.

Wow I guess I should be doing this soon. 04 with 145k. Did it crack while running or just during the process of removing it?

It happened while driving. Fortunately, I had just gotten to the office. I'm lucky it didn't happen on the 2k mile trip I just did last week. That would have sucked.
