Just replaced 4 door lock actuator motors. Cost $21 and work like new now. Would not be easy for someone will little experience.
Wife's LX DS actuator just died. Any chance you did a write up? Where did you get the actuators from? Thank you.
What did I do to my Land Cruiser today? Made a mess... I painted the grille. Simple enough... but the rattle can paint ATE the paint on the grille. Anywhere my sanding/scuffing broke through to the plastic-chrome - the paint rippled around that area. So, I sanded it - which made much larger areas of exposed plastic-chrome... and even more rippling. I'm stumped. The grille is a $%*@ing mess.
Thanks! Those headlights look so good @crimsonaudio with that light bar. did you remove the trip around your grill? what color paint did you use on the grill?
I almost bought some of those too. Seems like many are out there for sale. I like the look.Picked up a set of of tundra take offs for the long road trips. The 32s with the 4.88s will be nice while towing the trailer long distance. View attachment 1125571View attachment 1125572View attachment 1125574View attachment 1125575
Is that the hot side that always looks like hell? I guess it's time for me to do it too! 06 with 141K miles.
Thanks guys - the primer actually added another problem - crackling! I tried it after posting - before you guys suggested the primer, so you're not on the hook
Not a clue what's going on... it's a damn mess. I sanded with 220, then 320, blew off the dust, then wiped it with a barely damp cloth... sprayed a light coat (TONS of experience with a rattle can) ... and wrinkle. Might be time for a new grille... damn it.

Wow I guess I should be doing this soon. 04 with 145k. Did it crack while running or just during the process of removing it?Replaced Tee's....2006 with 140k. The hot side cracked on me, which caused all fluid to be lost from radiator. Had to park till parts came in. Pic is new vs. old.View attachment 1128342
