I think I remember replacing all the rubber and links for around $100 in parts, a Sat afternoon and a six pack.

Don't forget to order a few extra bolts. That one under the condensate drain gets really rusty.

Easy to do and doesn't require jacking or removing wheels. Just removing the plastic splash guard. Grease up the prop shafts while you're under there.

Makes a noticeable difference in ride and handling.

I replaced the front links with poly about 24K ago, and am surprised, that they actually show some wear. The rears look fine, and the bar has no rust at all - CA car! I think its more like $89 even at dealer prices.

Yah, I just totaled up every component (including the brackets, retainers, bushings, etc.) minus the sway bar and the total is $155 in clouding shipping. Add the sway bar at $120 and your total is $275 - it can all be swapped out in a couple of hours.

Did the 'fog light mod' so the light bar stays on with the brights. Easy (15 minute) job.

Any details on this? This is something I have wanted to do for a while now but have not had the time to dig into it.
Thanks

Bought a 99 last week, stock with 192k mi and all service records. Cranked up the torsion bars, painted the trim, and took a pic.

Then added roof rack, OME shocks, and 285 Duratracs. Wheel spacers and body lift on order. Long time, and current, jeep guy, but having fun setting this one up too.

After pic? ^^^^

Picked up new to me '01 LX with a fresh timing belt and water pump on Tuesday.

Threw in some Weathertech liners and new hood struts and straightened out the antenna so it'll retract all the way. Got a mini VCI cable so I can check out neutral pressures. Ordered some AHC fluid so I can do a flush and check what I may need to do with the torsion bars and rear coils. Got a couple new keys that still need to be cut so I can program them. Ordered some speakers for the front doors since the driver's side woofer is blown. I'll pull it out and see if it just needs new foam. If that's all it is then I'll refoam them and try to sell them. Trying to track down some center caps since I'm missing two.

I'm into that anti-honeymoon phase where I'm starting to figure out all of the little things that are wrong with it and what needs to be addressed. So far there's nothing too bad, but the nickel and diming is a little annoying.

I took mine to the good folks at ACC garage in Atlanta. Great new building that they are in. They are truly customer oriented. I drive 6 hours round-trip to get my LC serviced with them. I had a long list of things to be done when I got there. After a couple different conversions throughout the morning with the owner, I was able to save a lot of cash to put back for my suspension lift in the future.

In talking with him, I have decided to run the AHC until it quits then go with an Ironman system. So I skipped the AHC flush. He was able to check the water pump and coolant which were fine. Skipped the coolant flush.

They did check and tighten up the bearings. Adjusted the torsion bars. Did oil change. Next time will install the SLEE over ride switch.

If you are looking for a quality LC shop look no further than ACC.

Rear shocks. Mr T brand. Gabriel shocks installed by finger tight Joe previous owner so removal was easy only because it is a vegas truck. Drilled holes in the floor in my WI rust truck and have no regrets especially after the shaft of one my bilsteins let go. Other one broke upon removal.
