Squeak-b-gone.

Changed all the gear oil, stinky stuff. Replaced the crush washers (not sure the transfer case washers actually crush). Very happy I didn't round off any bolts or strip anything. No significant shavings on any of the three. Guess the lockers have to wait...

Ordered a set of KO2's to replace my well worn Nitto TG's which have about 60k on them.

KO2's will be installed and then an alignment. Need to go back and do some research on correct specs for an alignment.

Finally installed the Slee - actually just a test fit ...... need to wire up the lights and winch but ran out of daylight.....

Really like the Slee's clean lines..... decided also to paint the valance panel and like the way it blends the front.

Damn you all and your dark lights! Looks really good though. My all clear lights arrived last night, can't wait to dig in this weekend. I'm thinking about painting that valance as well, still undecided though but I've got some rock chips in it so blacking it out seems like the way to go...

I know..... So glad I asked him to open the box when I stopped by..... maybe he'd swap you out if you shipped those back ? might be worth it....

Meh I'm just going to roll with it at some point. The long term goal for these housings is projectors anyway at which point I'd paint everything inside black, but for now I'll run them stock. How are liking the light output over the horizontal split OEM style lights? I'm hoping it's better... Also, any hickups on wiring? Do the stock plugs work with the plugs on the back of the new H7 housings? Did you just ditch the unused connectors for the parking lights? Thanks!

The connectors look like they should work but they don't for me.... they won't fully click in... so I've order a set of Duetsche like sets for each side and will do that this weekend.. the running lights do plus in and the blinkers are fine - I've ordered up silverstone 1157 to replace the orange ones....

HID's are in the plans as well.....low only.

Got a link to those adaptors you're wiring in? Where do the running lights go? I thought those don't have a home in the Depo housings.

Picked it up today. 2007 LX, 76k miles, totally stock. I removed the steps already but a storm cell came through as I was finishing up so I didn't get a chance to take another picture.

What do you guys do with the little tab that is exposed right behind the front tire after removing the steps?

@nnnnnate Congrats on the rig and welcome to Mud! If you are referring to the metal piece on the frame rail, please take a look at this thread about it. Look through the rest of the FAQ while you're at it, there's a lot of helpful information in there.

I think a lot of people cut it off. I left it alone on mine for the last two years after removing the steps but now that I am building sliders it will probably have to go. Nice looking LX!

I believe he is talking about a plastic mounting tab on the LX cladding and not the weight mounted to the frame rail.

I've been cruising the site for a while and have read through just every link in the FAQs. Thanks.

This is it. I guess I just comes down to if you think you'll ever want to put the steps back on. Its kind of funny because when we got it home my wife was commenting on a few things about it and said it was nice that it had steps to help her get in. She's real short and 7 months pregnant with our first. I said, "Uh, dear. Those are coming off in like 20 minutes." She rolled her eyes and went inside. She's a great lady!

So...I finally get to change my signature line. Nothing major, but new shoes and a face lift. BFG KO2, 285/75/16, new shocks, torsion bar crank. Heading to Rausch Creek to test it out.
