Installed the NWTI rear bumper on my buddy’s son’s Tacoma. And wired up the license plate lights.

Nice bumper. Do you have to cut the rear quarter panels to install it?
No it just wraps around. I’ll get a better photo of that angle

The black plastic tank bib on the Softail was ugly. I designed this and cut it with the laser. Still not sure what to engrave on it if anything, or exactly how I am going to finish it.

Mounted and wired up the front bumper. Needs the stock grille in my opinion, but it’s not my truck. Had some previous damage from a deer strike years ago, but a nice little taco.

New rear struts on my 18 year old ES with 180k miles. She had gotten kind of squirrelly over bumpy surfaces and downright scary on icy surfaces. New tires and an alignment are in order soon.

Fix the trailer 7pin socket wiring.
Speaking of 7-pin sockets, today was the first time I've towed with my new to me LX570. I towed my utility trailer which has a 4-pin flat connector. So I use a 4-pin flat to 7-pin round adapter. When I plug it into the vehicle's 7-pin socket the running lights to the trailer do not stay on consistently. If I wiggle the adapter up and down in the socket the lights flicker. Not sure if it's the vehicle socket, the adapter or the 4-pin flat connector on the trailer wiring so it looks like I'll need to do some investigating. I tried bending conductors at both the vehicle socket and the adapter to make firmer connections but it didn't fix it. I hate electrical stuff.

Im odd where i dont mind some DC vehicle wiring.. you probably have a loose wire or more in the 7plug.

I'm a mechanical engineer. Me and the sparkys are always at odds. But a loose wire in the vehicle socket is also my suspicion, ironically a 'mechanical' issue.

My go to quote as a mechanical mechanic, "i dont trust things i cant see and if i see electricity its probably going to be a bad day" 😅 😆

Helped the spawn with moving her parts car from the street to the side yard. The neighbors (well, just this one old lady) kept reporting and her car got a red sticker. This was the first time Isabelle got to use her winch, and she was so excited! Her 4runner is behind the black car with the hood open.

The winch pulled the car up on the trailer, then I backed it into the side yard and unloaded it. Lots of hilbilly physics took place but the project was done safely and with a lot of "oh s***, that actually worked" moments!

Supposedly the car slammed into a sidewalk on an icy patch so both passenger control arms were tweaked, which resulted in the wheels going in different directions. We're thinking this might've been a case of Too Fast Too Furious, ABQ edtion.

It was a great way to spend the afternoon with Isabelle and her roomie.

Are the horns and exhaust transferable to her car?

It would never have occurred to me to use a dump trailer to try to move a car with. Also, do they know who the cool neighbor is with the white FJ60 across the street (in the background of the last photo)?

I actually met that cool neighbor. They just moved in about three months ago from KS, and I gave them a HDC card. The owner's name is Donna and she had a FJ60 in AUST that was a petrol variety. She is the original owner of this 62. :oops:Still, I'll remind them of the meeting this sat when I see Isabelle.

that exhaust is muy primo so we did everything we could not to Bubba it during the pull. I need to hear the horns to see if I wanna stick them in the Benz ;)

I got all the original fj60 FSMs for $180 last weekend. I just need a FSM for the 62 to complete the sacred texts.

Rebuilding the fuel injectors on the 80, halfway through. Injectors are in the ultrasonic cleaner so I'm taking a break. All the rubber parts of the injectors were rock hard so I guess they're over 30 years old. The EGR inlet in the intake manifold was gunked up pretty hardcore.
