Guy dropped it off at my parents in Florence. I will go pick it up in a month or so. Really excited as this one has access to the cab via a sliding window, seemed really nice and you know if I bought it it was a deal. ;)

Also adjusted the clutch and fixed the heater/ a/c blower today. I am researching shocks and front brakes for the T100 now as those are my next needs. Thinking BJ spacers and Doetsch 8000 shocks. I had them on the 62 and thought they worked well. And cant beat the price. ~ $50 each.

I still need a set of 16" rims. Would love a set of the 16" 18 hole spares from 4runners and Tacos. Or???? I may consider a set of 17's or 18's for the 4runner and I swap over the 4runner rims and tires to the T100. Open to anything that is priced right. I have some 16" tires that will get me by on the T100 so thats the main reason I was looking for that.

This reminds me I still need to start a thread for the T100. THis post may be reposted later. ;)

Most likely the sunroof drains are clogged. Unclog them and your good. Where does your windshield leak?

I have unclogged them three times already with heavy gage speaker wire. The last Time was just before I took it to you. When I got it home the passenger side was standing water. I'm sealing the windshield as a preventive because I have a feeling it's coming in from there as well. I don't use or want an opening sunroof so I'm sealing it.

Pulled more parts for trollhole and got rear axle off the truck. Still got to get the front axle down and drag them out from under the truck.

I don't take pics because i dont have the spare time on my hands to post them but...

all new brake shoes on the 40.

Also put a Charles Bridges rebuilt quadrajet carb on the SBC, it's nice having a carb with a choke!!!
I really noticed a difference in perfomance, she's much smoother when transitioning from 2 to 4 barrels and a much more 3 speed/4.10 gear/32" tire friendly response in low to mid throttle positioning.

The good news is I got new tires, just in time for next week's trip to TX. Stuck with the same size KM2's, 315/75/16. But I saved my old spare +2 of the better ones for future spares.

The sucky news is that tire prices are through the roof since I last got new tires. I swear 4 tires cost me about the same for 5 tires 3 years ago. They gave me 10% off this set which saved me $100, but DANG, that's still a lot of scratch! I'm going to look and see if there are any manufacturer rebates or something.

Thats why I love craigslist. lol My issue is I don't always end up with the specific tire I wanted, but at least they are 50% of the new price. I cannot imagine paying tire shop prices even with the good friend discount.

I'm looking for some 265/75/16's for my truck now. Supposed to pic up the 16" rims on Friday.

Just in case you missed it back in December-

A friend at a local shop took these off of a 79 FJ40 as part of an upgrade. They are nearly new. I've seen them in person and the picture I posted earlier doesn't do them much justice.

Brand:Kumho, Mohave A/T
Size: P265/75 R16 114 T

Set of 5.

Location: Asheville

Contact: Laurel at Mostly Toyotas, 828-253-4981

Price: Make a reasonable offer and she will pass it on to the customer. (I posted them in the 4-Sale section in December and I think they still have them.) No affiliation. I think they can be had a reasonable price at this point. (Marshall ended up with the "old" suspension from this upgrade)

Thanks David. I had forgotten about them. They look like a version of the Bridgestone Revos that are awesome on Hwy and mild offroad, but cost an arm and a leg. I'll give them a call. Anyone from Asheville headed down to wheel/camp this weekend?

YAY...i have a shoulder belt in the back of the 40 so my son can use his booster seat rather than a toddler car seat

I also have a working CB

No one wanted to play smokey and the bandit with me on my way home from work today :(

Used the 40 like a tractor. Ripped out alot of old plant material with the winch on a landscaping job.

And loaded up my boys in the 62 for a trip to Tractor Supply and Home Depot. Even the dog is smiling!

Nice work with the 40, have used my 80 for the same duty many times through the years. There is something quite satisfying about using these old LandCruiser to rip stuff right out of the ground :D

Used my old Yota pickup to pull up my old shrubs in the front of the house a few years back. I haev to agree nothing like using a Yota for its intended purpose. ;)

That is a great picture right there! With my little guy, getting all the planets to align with him sitting still, looking at the camera AND smiling??

Sure, they are in their car seats but even the dog cooperated?!?!? Consider me impressed!!

Hell, I used the Lexus to winch down an old dead tree. Gotta love sport UTILITY vehicles :)
