Lucky you! Sure would like to be there right now. How has the weather been this week?
Weather has been good. Cooler than expected with a winter storm warning a few days ago and snow above 6,000 ft. Luckily it has not rained too much as the trails turn to grease when wet.

Went out with a new club. Mostly Jeeps, but had a great time. The guys/girls in the group were great.
This is in Slade Kentucky, Red River Gorge area.

Same as the other - Start with fresh fluid in the reservoir by using a turkey baster and vac each wheel until clean. You will need to fill the reservoir after each wheel.

It's even easier to install speedbleeders on your calipers in place of the standard bleed screws. Just crack open the speedbleeder, put a hose on the nipple to direct the fluid into a container, and go step on the brake until you have pushed as much fluid through as you want, being sure to keep the reservoir topped off. Can do the whole job in 5 minutes, literally new fluid in 5 minutes.

Damn! You've put some trail miles behind you. Good stuff. I was in Lockhart Canyon two weeks ago and thought about coming out via Hurrah but being only 1 vehicle and 285's with 2.5 ome, I did't want to risk it. Does the stretch from Lockhart to Hurrah require a set up like you have or it is not too bad? Thanks

Those are my go to places as well and that's about on par with what those brands, in that size, cost around here (Colorado). Maybe even a bit less.

those are good choices, I think you would be happy with any of them

I like the KO2's, was going to post a pic of tires with a girl in bikini but the Mod's might get upset and shut down thread..lol

I'll through another tire into the mix to consider. I was on the fence on the Duratracs... I went with Cooper ST/Maxx and I am extremely happy.

I've bought 2 sets of ko2s from 4wheelparts this year, both way cheaper than local. I then had a local place mount them for around $25 each, iirc.

Edit- your prices look about right, IMO. I was seeing quotes of 1600+ around here if it makes you feel any better lol

I've used Discount for several years now. They will price match whatever the low price is you can find elsewhere, even online. I'd start scouring places like onlinetires.com, tirerack.com, 4wheelparts, and any other mom and pop tire shop. Just remember that Discount will also factor shipping into whatever price you find elsewhere. So sometimes what looks like a much better price is actually pretty close to Discounts price once you factor in the shipping which Discount won't charge you for tires they carry.

I've always bought from Discount Tire. Have always bought BFG ATs. The ATs I have on my 92 have 48k on them and have great tread but are getting hard. I bought Cooper ST Maxx for my 70 last year. I liked them but I've just always bought BFGs.

I figure I'll go BFG AT KO2s. The Duratracs seem like a good tire but I've never been let down by BFG.

Thanks for the confirmation.

Have you checked prices on Amazon? They usually have free shipping on large purchases...and maybe cheaper prices if you can find a place to mount/balance.

There is a thread on exactly what you are looking for. I can't remember in which section. Maybe tires. I know I wrote something in there too.
Sometimes local shops can price match.

I will see if I can't use this to my advantage tomorrow.
