last couple weekends have been slow on the FZJ but, got the oil changed finally and greased it, got the attic rack finished up and installed, and exercised the diff locks (rear is still kinda stubborn)

New power steering pump + high pressure hose, oil change, got a matching spare tire and rotated it through, new led dome lights, changed front diff, rear diff, and transfer case fluids, and extended the front diff breather.

Up next: transfer case and rear diff breather extensions, figure out what is causing a slight pull to the left when braking hard, PHH, remove wheel spacers installed by PO, fix the leaking rear D/S window, paint and install the Metal Tech bumper I just bought, install Harbor Freight winch, plus much more I'm sure.

Getting closer and closer to being ready for the 2500 mile trip planned for this summer :)

Also, big thanks to all of the posters here- the FAQ and guides are invaluable for someone like me. This is my first time doing my own vehicle maintenance so little tips like getting a hand pump for the gear oil were a huge help.

I love your truck. I so wish mine was white. I'm slowing starting to hate green...

Use your Imagination Stretch !!! :) All It takes Is being able to Prep Prime and Shoot. White's great but hard to contrast, It always seems to appear that you should have picked one or the other, thats just my experience. This green truck Is 80% complete and gets lots of positive responses !! ;) What I would like to change Is my location In ILL. to a new location for me and my rig to the Hawaiian Islands !!!!! I just May... Maybe a :banana::banana: job, I can handle that no problemo . LOL Good Luck !

I would love to have surfed in my life. I just never lived where there was surf big enough to surf on. At 60 I am a little too old to start but it absolutely looks like something I would have really enjoyed. A friend of mine was a big wave surfer in California and I have had some long coversations about it. Not so sure I would have done that. Too many things can go wrong....like drowning. I was in Oahu out on the north shore one day when they had 18 foot waves. The life guards were warning people to surf at their own risk as the sets were close together and they weren't willing to come out and save them. I saw some guys come in pretty busted up from hitting the bottom. The next day I heard they had 30 foot waves that were breaking all the way out to the road and the beach was closed! 18 foot waves sound like thunder!

That is a nice looking rig! Mine is green and if you take care of it and keep it waxed, it will look fabulous. I have scratches I'll never get out but they don't show much if you know how to polish it effectivelly!

Used that spacious cargo area to move all of our junk to a storage shed (since our landlord made us get rid of our personal sheds)

Decided to remove the 3rd row seats and put those in storage as well. Man does the inside feel much more spacious now...can't believe I've waited this long to get rid of those things.

Probably a placebo effect but the truck feels lighter/faster too :hillbilly:

Played with this before dealing with some knuckle carnage. Somehow the needle roller bearings in my LH side spindle have crushed into the birf and left deep indents, so that's makes both a write off.

I sure hope that's not for a 1FZ unless you have 3 of them. Lol

Prepped for Colorado and Moab. Took the roof top tent off, driver's side front axle rebuild to replace a leaking inner axle seal, replaced front seat belts, front diff oil change, greased driveshafts and u joints, made roof rack mounts for the Yakima highroller, and put a gasket on the oil cap.

Notice the brake rotor shield and vent missing? Yes, I forgot to put it on and left it outside after cleaning it. So it all had to come apart again to put it back on

Noticed this on my ironman shocks for the first time.

Oh and I noticed some weird cracks on the driver's tire while it was off. After inspecting the rest of the tires and finding some pretty bad cracks, it looks like I need new tires before heading out to Colorado and Utah this weekend. Waiting to hear back from the tire shop and Kenda on my options. I would prefer not to go back with these tires.

Kenda Klever MTs with ~13k miles...
