Rebuilt my knuckles, inner axle seals, swapped birfs + new 305/70/16 BFG tires. Never did the rebuild before, good news though, wheels didn't fall off when I drove it to work today.

Did you locktite your knuckle studs in? They like to work loose after rebuilds, I would keep any eye on them. If you lose them you will lose steering.

I did, but still going to be checking everything over the next week or two, driving it every day to test everything.

After a looooooong couple days the 95 got some much needed attention at the 208k mark so here we go...... oil change, rear brake pads and rotors one new caliper, front brake pads (did the 100 pad swap), replaced both front rotors which = front axel service ughhhhhhh, replaced all old brake fluid, replaced all belts, new cap, rotor, plugs and harness, new air inlet hose, new air filter, drained coolant, replaced thermostat, replaced all the hoses including the PHH, drain and fill diffs, drain and fill transmission, sanded, primed and repainted front bumper and end caps in fresh moonglow, replaced windshield lastly tire rotation and balance. Thanks to my buddy Scott for the help and knowledge and a HUGE thanks AGAIN to Cruiser Dan and Don in the parts department at American Toyota. These guys had every part I needed in stock, fantastic service fellas. Living in Albuquerque 2 miles from Dan's desk doesn't suck lemme tell ya. Needless to say shes running like new and quiet as a mouse.
I love posts like this.

Got a little something in the mail today. @Tanker120 knocked it out the park!

Valve cover gasket. I skipped the paint job just cleaned it up. Hopefully one less drip

It's BEER in the fuel tank and PISS in the crank case!

I guess this might explain your overheating thread...

This qualifies as tech: went to Joey's house and drove your cruiser. Damn this thing is running STRONG! Not sure it's a good idea for you to drive it because you might not be able to handle that much power. And this with piss in both gas tank and crank case.

Did find a few minor things but those are minor.

Good to hear! Run it. Break her in for me. She only has 312k on the clock!

Are you and Joey making a list of things that need to be done? I got actuator seals and PHH kit on their way to Joey. I got the coolant temp gauge here at my house (should've shipped that to him but will just bring it on the plane). I got the good ECU here.

Qball broke it in by poking a new hole in the seat and claiming it as his own.

Make a list? Pshaw! Thats for the night before!

Judging by the looks of the leather @Qball isn't the first...

I forget that you have an 80 series warehouse in your garage in case we need anything!

Brakes? I'm not used to needing them with my 3FE. If I want to stop I just let off the gas.

Yup, engine compression braking is your 4-low :P

I don't really drive it since the registration is expired. Slacker owner. :flipoff2:

Just carry the title with you and say you just bought it! Don't you get 30 days in California?

Put the axle back on along with some extra suspension travel with remote resi adjustable fox shocks, all new moving parts (bearings, seals, birfs and suspension bushings), arb air locker, slee extended brake lines and 1" lift via coil spacer.

How was it? I gotta do mine too
Pretty simple you can knock it out in an afternoon. However I deleted all that rear heat crap that supposed to be in the way years ago. You'll need :
10&12 mm socket
What ever tools for hose clamps
10 in extension to make life easy
U joint or 10 mm wobble for the
Ds rear cover bolt
I did use a 12 mm wrench to break the tb top bolts loose better angle for me. Note: put the bottom TB bolts through before putting it back on. I used a flashlight to see to put the 12mm/10 ext on em. Remove the air filter can then you can sit there while you work.
Cleaning supplies. Paint if desired. That'll add a day plus any other while I'm here crap. Oh and a seal puller for the tube seals. If you've done the axles you should own one.
