This is the cabin filter on my '07 Camry Hybrid. Just swapped it out. It's 3 years old. This is disgusting!

I need to research again to see if anyone has figured out a good cabin filter solution for the 80.

No news on that as far as I know. Someone in the 60 Series forum put something like this over the intake and said it helped a lot. I think it's the same on an 80, just a lot harder to get to.

I'm going to have to look in to that...

Not the weekend, but I put my PAIR system back in to appease the smog czars of Kalifornia.

Found this cool little led light in the back of a trade in vehicle at work and figured I'd put it to use in the back on the attic rack.

The switch is bad so low setting doesn't work but suits my needs and runs off 3 AAA batteries.

This was before and I had a hard time finding things even with my led dome lights.

After! Really bright and like I said, suits my needs. I have a couple ideas I might toy around with it and see. I can replace the switch too and fix the dim issue. Sorry no name on it. Found it bolted up in a camper for a truck bed.

@voorland80 where can I find a Hybrid LX?? I bet you get a few stares from Prius drivers ;)

I've become a "cool little LED" light afficiando. I love the magnet kind and have them scattered throughout the vehicle for convenience.

Yeah, I've noticed it gets its fair share of smug-deflated stares from the Prius crowd.

The tech at smog inspection kept going from front to back. I wasn't paying much attention and casually thought it was part of his process. He finally walked over and asked, "How is this a hybrid? I can't find the box."

My 92 80 is a Hybrid. It runs on gas AND oil! :flipoff2:

Here's a thread that showed a lot of promise, someone actually collected an 80 series firewall to really get in there and figure it out. It's been dormant since Sept 2015 though. Some discussion around bringing the intake up through the valance and cap it with a filter/prefilter housing similar to a Humvee air intake.

Yeah, I've been following that one. I might have to dig in to my son's 80. It's sitting with the hood off in storage while we work on it bit by bit. Taking the valance off is pretty simple with the hood off.

I have thought about doing something like a HUMVEE based on that thread. Might just have to pull the trigger. What's the worse that happens? Ruining a valance?

I mistyped. It should've said "My 92 is a Hybrid. It runs on beer AND urine!" :flipoff2:"

This week I've started reinstalling interior pieces. Hard to work on it when it is peeing rain constantly, or I have work to do.

This weekend I'm pulling off the wheels to take a close look at brakes as well as to look into the knuckles to make sure they are well-lubed.

I'm planning a trip to Normandy, France to tour the D-Day invasion beaches and to view the Bayeaux Tapestry. After that, I'm going to drive back through Belgium to tour the Battle of the Bulge area and the Hurtgen Forest.

I've started a thread here:

Long Weekend to Normandy and Huertgen Forest

I expect to put at least 2000 miles on Marjan in the next 10 days. Woot!

Man, I'm in Paris this week and want to tour Normandy so bad. When are you going to do it?

120mm, when you're in France think about visiting Belleau Wood. The US Marines came to the rescue and fought the Germans from 1-26 June 1918. It was at that fight the Germans first called the Marines Teaufel Hunden"Devil Dogs".
